The road to the point is state land so it won't be shut down. But when you come accross Yellow River Bridge south on 87 and turn right into the trail head go down 150 yards and you will notice you cant get off the main red top. All the other stuff is cabled off.
B and B is a ok park. The guy...
Well before the FJC guys came alone nothing was gated or chained off. After the FJC guys started having 75 + rig rides and took enviromentlist and journelist out there on rides everything but the main red clay roads are now cabled and chained off. Cant go anywhere and all the fun spots are gone...
Aprilia, it only exsist to kill rice bikes and Ducati. And it does, very well.
Ninja is a great bike to start on, last forever and very simple.
Sportser 1200 Custom is my dream bike. But the Aprilias keep me happy in my younger years.
Sweet P38
Are you on rangerovers.net forum yet?
I have a detailed write up on how to install a Disco II ARB bullbumper onto the P38 if you are interested?
My 2000 Tahoe did this. The old analog systems made all sorts of sounds. Just pop the speaker out of the headlinner and clip the wires behind it. Or you can go to the dealer before GM goes under and buy the digital upgrade which is a couple hundered $$$. Depends if you really want On Star, if my...
My favorite Jeep is the one that goes through the wash outs that the 100 Series drives around. Not a Wrangler either, a stock Grand Cherokee. Big, fat, plush, and poorly built.
Maybe the Jeeps that are responsible for winning WW2 and kicking the original Toyota's asses.
Or the one that...
As said above. Bilstein or Fox shocks are the way to go. I really like Fox for my mountain bike but don't have expirence with their shocks on Rovers, just GM trucks. The Classic I wheel with the 5in RT lift has Bilstein 7100s, which are killer but expensive.
I ran a front Trutrac and a rear Detroit with 285/65R16 on the rocks almost every weekend and never had a lick of trouble from my drivetrain. It's you don't bounce and spin you want break stuff. Don't go with air lockers, they aren't worth all that money unless it's your daily driver in a...
Ok let's meet at 9am and roll at 10ish. We can go set up camp at the point then eat lunch south of the twisties on the creek, after lunch we can wheel til dark go back to camp eat and then do a night trip if anyone wants to. Subday we can wheel the west side til mid afternoon then head out.
Relocate the ECU into a plastic container, body lift it, spool the rearend, and fix the clutch. Then use it as your "I don't give a s*** 4x4". When your done in a couple years sell the motor, tranny, and transfer case for more than you have in it
Go with a rover tym lift, rear bumper, slider side step,ARB bullbumper, safari snorkel, front trutrac rear Detroit. Drop the sway bars off completley they aren't doing much anyway. rangerovers.net and their forum are the best rr info sites out there. Stay away from discoweb, they wouldn't know a...
Twenty mins. While you guys that cross it are getting the trucks through and pulling out anyone that gets stuck we will be around on you guys.
Is anyone here or know anyone thats planning on leading? I can give them directions. Otherwise I can just lead you guys?
If we camp anywhere other than the point we have to roll to jackson guard and get camping permits. Which cost ten bucks a pop. So its best we camp out at the point or the motel up the road:cheers:.
I can lead a group. I know every trail out there really well. It will give me a chance to set up and photograph you guys coming through. Most of you guys can do the water crossing still. We had a lifted Range Rover classic and Defender do it with out any problems, both with open diffs. If you...
