Here is a well used set of my front & rear link mount armor and rear diff armor on Nick Power's (SouthTexasCruiser) FJC.
These have been well used at places like Katemcy Rocks, Barnwell Mountain, Rock Creek, Cline's and The Rubicon Trail.
Tons of abuse with no problems.
That is certainly odd.
I have had clutches have a shudder to them until they have been broke in, but it doesn't sound like there are good things going on with the grinding and chirping.
The only accounts I have experienced with grinding and chirping with the clutch is when there were...
Yep..
That is the reason I designed mine the way I did.
I have approximately 45 sets out and haven't had a single one wallow out. But then again, the side plates are made of 1/4" and I am using the factory diameter (but longer) bolt in a 10.8 spec for a tight tolerance fit in the bolt up...

I designed and built this diff skid with a few ideas in mind.
1. Clearance - The other diff skids on the market sacrifice clearance for protection. This diff skid fits flush against the bottom of the rear diff. The only clearance lost is the thickness of the material.
2. Ease of use - Our...
