No welder alas. It’s on my list of things to learn as I retire.
Plan is to button it up for a few weeks as I’ve family coming out and I need to use it - then pull the radiator and get after it with better access and replace the cover since it’s been hacked at.
Also just noticed in the first pic on the second screw down there has been a notch cut by a someone who isn’t me.
Does this look fine or should I plan on replacing the cover ?
Funny you could mention it - all sitting on the shelf waiting to go on if I can get the screws out :D
The second pic is the screw's I've not touched yet - all I did was give them a scrub with gunk degreaser.
I've had the truck 10 ish years - previous history completely unknown but the the...
RTH on this one - I've got the balancer off no bother and the front main seal replaced just fine.
But the screws on the oil pump cover are stripping out - someone had been in there before me as 3/7 looks pretty roasted already and it feels like they may have used some heavy duty thread lock or...
I mounted a 10” all in one on the Witt’s end panel. Works a treat and fills out the bottom end very nicely.
I have a whole hog panel sitting in the garage as well.
I just completed the install of mine today - I'll post some pics tomorrow - unit itself is mounted in the rear quarter with the control panel and speaker mounted in the dash.
Antenna out through a scanstrut DS-H6-BLK on the rear vent.
Does anyone know the pin type for the 10pin connector - I'd like to do a custom harness so it's a clean install but finding data on the Gentex 10 pin connector has been a bear.
Company is VERY unfriendly to the consumer, much like alarm companies.
Anyone know what pins the Gentex 10 pin harness uses ?
it's not molex... I've pulled the locking tab up - but I can't find anything small enough to slide into the pin release hole at the front of the connector to remove the pins...
I've a question - about to do this for my HAM antenna cable - how did you "Layer" the parts?
I seem to get some moisture down the back of that L part occasionally - the air vent below is well sealed - but I'm curious of how it all got sandwiched in - is the gasket against the metal or the...
Yup just snaps of the clip. There is a filter In there that gets gummed up with carbon. Think I paid $60 ish from partsouq. The FSM has a test procedure for it before you spend the cash and it just unclips from a bracket. No tool needed even.
Testing is as simple As taking it off and...
Made some good progress on this on the weekend - pretty sure I have the remote start etc. configured and by using the ground when armed pulse off the alarm brain on the 5706v to trigger pin 5 on the light retainer harness to turn off the lights after remote start shutdown.
The '97 harness is...
