Friend of mines AC/Heat control board failed and toyota wants an ungodly amount for a new one. If anyone has one they are willing to sell please PM me. Thank you
So the story goes. I had finally gotten the FJ running perfect. The first trip out the engine blew. I believe it was a head gasket, but anyways, as many of you know that thing was not worth fixing. But now I'm addicted...it's time to pawn off my toy. I have a 1987 Chrysler Conquest/Mitsu...
Want another FJ...willing to give up my 87 conquest
So maybe some of you remember me. I bought a trashed fj-60 a while back for 300, fixed it, and drove it all last winter. Long story short I blew the engine and decided it wasnt worth fixing. Now I need my fix. I miss my cruiser more then...
I was just wondering how hard it is to put a new pump in. Mine has gone bad i think because of the sludge that was in the tank. I have searched the forums but havent found anything on it.
Its there for a purpose, to reduce oil temp... Some engines do it with Larger sumps, others with coolant to oil systems and some use a "radiator" setup.
Fix it, short cuts make for poor people (fix once, fix right, spend once)
Cheers :)
Sorry, i was just commenting from my own experience. C-60 seems to work better then brake cleaner. I guess the best thing to do would be to replace the front pads etc etc. I just had both c-60 and brake cleaner lying around the house so i tried them both.
Yea, google it. Maybe you can buy it offline still. Its pretty tough to get but basically its a non-flammable acid that is made to spray in electrical components.
Heres a website that sells it by the case, or individually you can get for like 8 bucks a can
16oz. Net Weight Sprayway C-60...
Almost has to be a seized caliper. I cant think of anything else that fits the bill. Just throw some C-60 into the pad area, should free them up real quick. I would recommend you C-60 the connections as well.
Well it definitely sounds like a fuel delivery problem. But how fast are you going when it happens? Also what does the hesitation feel like? If you let go of the gas then step back on it a second or two later does it work alright again for at least a few more seconds?
Well i have improved it but havent gotten rid of it. So far i have moved the bullwhip to the rear and moved the coax cable out of the engine bay. Also Moved the wires with direct current from the battery. I am still trying to find more fixes. I am thinking about adding another ground to the...
Ok, so im getting a lot of engine noise. I heard that if i route the power to the positive on the battery and then the ground to the negative on the battery it should help. Should i believe this>? Also what did you do to get rid of engine static?
Basically just when it needs it. When you have exhausted all the other options(carb cleaner etc etc) and nothing is working then its time for a rebuild.
