    What a mouthfull.....76 FJ40

Well it has been a couple years and the time has come to think about selling my Toy. It has been garage kept and honestly I just don't drive it very often. Work keeps me away and I don't have time to enjoy it. As many know I put 3 long years into this build. I just reinstalled the soft top last...

Its cold, so I'm thinking about Kayaks . . .

David I have worked in the Outdoor/kayak industry for most of my adult life. I would suggest you look at the WS Tempest kayak. It will perform much better over the Carolina. It is very popular with expedition trips in the program world. It has great storage and a lot more hull speed over the...

    Parkway Cruzzz Oct. 16, 2010

Hope everyone had a great trip home. Enjoyed meeting everyone for my first club event. Next year I'll have to make it for the Friday night camping. If anyone ever wants to do some winter camping up at Black Balsam I spend a lot of time up there and Middle Prong night skiing the area. It's...

The dash is a unit from SOR that forms a useful dash/shelf. There is no drilling and it mounts to the windshield knobs. Personally I love it. It is a great place to throw loose items while driving like a cell phone...The lip around the outer edge is high enough that items won't slide off and the...

Yes I thought about this when installing but I plan on reworking the rear springs and shackles this winter and thought for now I would run them straight. After I get the new custom springs installed I plan on cutting the pipes and turning out behind the tires. Thanks for the insite. That is...

I received my sliders earlier this week from John at White Knuckle and got them installed. I gave them a quick cleaning and light sanding before coating them with spray on bed liner. Then I gave them 3 coats of stainless paint that matches the rollbar. These went on great and turned out more...

The exhaust is installed and today I took the rig on its 1st road trip. It felt good to drive the toy again. The exhaust ended up with dual 2.5" tubes front to back and flowmaster 40 series mufflers. She sounds great! Next the sliders go on after I fix one small wiring issue.

Jay, yes it is the same bar. Decided to use it for now until I can get the Metaltech welded up and installed. I plan on using the full cage. Dropped it off this morning at Mikes this morning for the exhaust work. His shop is on 191 near you. Hopefully I'll have it on the road in a day or two...

What did you do with your truck this week?

After almost 2 years of tearing it down and back up today I drove the toy out of the shop under its own power. Still some things to do but here she is.:beer:

Guess it is about time to change my avitar picture now that the toy is about finished. Today I pulled it out of the shop for the 1st time under its own power in almost 2 years. I still have a few odds and ends to finish up but hopefully will get it to the exhaust shop in the morning if they are...

You can get this tubing at Lowes or Home Depot. They have it by the foot back in plumbing. I believe it was 1" tubing but I'll check tonight when I get home. Just measure your nipples drains and look for an ID that matches. I believe mine was 3/4". The tubing is measured in OD.

I've been chipping away at the wiring and I almost have it completed. Engine, Ignition, lighting, wipers and blower are all working correctly. Hopefully today I can finish the dash gauges and the hazaed switch. I have run into a couple of bad switches that have been a pain. Mainly the headlight...
