    Bolt on turbo kit

I had the same thing happen. Reinstalled with a small worm gear hose clamp. It hasn't popped off since.

    Bolt on turbo kit

Just got back from a 3000 mile trip through Washington, Idaho, Montana and Utah. This brings my total mileage on the kit to over 6000. Lots of mountain passes and cold ambient temps for turbocharged fun. The turbo system performed flawlessly despite a few maintenance items with my truck that I'm...

    Bolt on turbo kit

Moved my boost and wideband gauge to a more ideal location. It's more visible than down low on the trans tunnel and not obstructing my view like a pillar pod.

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Re-heated some fast food, and got some faster food.

Remove caster plates or drill them out

Removed the arm and have a better view of the mount now. This is the mount with the most material removed. I think there may be enough here to be safe.

Remove caster plates or drill them out

Only the front is welded, I can grind them off with ease. Does the notch made for installing Slee plates reduce the strength of the axle mount to the point it should reinforced if the caster plate is removed?

Remove caster plates or drill them out

Installing new radius arms from Delta VS. Deciding whether to grind off my Slee caster plates or drill them out to use the stock bolt holes. The plate would be left in place to make a beefy overkill axle mount. Here's a pic from the best angle I could get to show how much meat is left on the...

    Bolt on turbo kit

Here's a quick report on my first 900 turbo'd miles. Drove from orange county to Bridgeport for some exploring and camping. Perfect test trip with plenty of elevation and mountain passes. This is now my favorite upgrade for the 80! Background info: 225k miles Headgasket at 150k Currently no...

    Bolt on turbo kit

30 miles on it so far around town. 800 mi roadtrip with high elevations and dirt mixed in coming up. So stoked! Subtle in the lower rpms but really takes off!

Small but important step, new vacuum check valve. Easy access by removing the throttle body.

    Bolt on turbo kit

Going in! None of the struggles with my earlier homebrew setup. This is a product that doesn't leave you hanging. Thanks Joey! I'll have to deal with some exhaust weirdness due to my aftermarket cats but things are still close enough to tie in to the downpipe. Looks like I need to clock my...

Adding front frame bumpstops and deleting inner spring bumpstops

Thanks for the pics and explanation. Those timbrens look good and I may go that route in the future. Staying on 35s, so I installed the slinky bumpstops in the rear and moved the OEM rear bumpstops to the front. The bumpstop mounting holes weren't spaced the same so I enlarged them to 1/2 in...

Adding front frame bumpstops and deleting inner spring bumpstops

Installing a slinky stage 4 kit and deciding if I should go to frame mounted bumpstops and delete the inner spring bumpstops. I have slee plates so I've had some contact issues and the bumpstops are pretty chewed up. I noticed the rear OEM bumpstops would bolt up to the frame mounting holes in...
