Thanks for the response. The lower control arm bushings have been replaced. Good to know about that he lower ball joints. What about struts and coil springs, is it worth replacing both or just the struts? Truck has 324,000 miles on it.
I'm sure it's been discussed before but I can't find anything. First, this a basically a stock truck and not planning on doing much mods to it. I need to rebuild the front end. Upper, Lower ball joints, struts, rod ends and what not. What are some good kits to look at?
Thanks
84 FJ60 runs and drives good. Has rust in the normal area's, has a dent in the front pass. fender from hitting a deer. Has a Old Man Emu lift, with 33x12.50 BFG's. Asking $4000, will consider trades. Looking for 90's model extended cab Toyota pickup for my son, something better on gas as...
No factory lockers. I've had it for 2 years, it didn't come with any records, and I didn't keep any myself, sorry. It had 270,000 miles on it when I bought it, now it has 290,000. It runs good, and I haven't had any issues with it since I've had it. I drove it to the Outer Banks last year and I...
I've got a 93 FJ80 for sale. It's all stock and white with gray leather interior. It has 290,000 miles on it, but it runs good. I can send pics through text if you want to see it. I don't have any pics on the computer at the moment. PM me if your interested or have any questions.
Thanks,
Mike
Yep there is a lot of guys on here that inspire me.
I want to do the same thing, I just want to use a Taco instead of an 80. Nice build, and I'll subscribe to this one for sure.
Yep, I relize the suspension is gonna be less then desirable. I'm not looking to build a off road rig, just a unique, dependable, 4x4 that I can drive and use for everyday use.
Good point on the airbags and what not, didn't think about that. I'll have to do some talking, and research about...
All of the taco running gear, just the fj45 cab and bed. Basically a taco with the fj45 look. What I've got is a fj40 with the top cut to a half cab. I've sold some of the running gear, so I'm left with a tub. I want to make something of it. I figured I would just cut the tub and make a cab and...
Been kicking this idea around for a couple years now. Take the cab and bed off the taco, and fit the fj45 cab and bed on. I know Lance with IPOR has done something like this with a 80 and 40. Any thoughts?
Mike
That's exactly the look I'm going for. Although an extended cab would be nice, I'm just gonna work with what I've got.
Ok, to be honest, I'm not going to build a ordinary fj45. I just want the look. This is what I had in mind.
Get a toyota tacoma, take the cab and bed off, fit the cab and bed...
Yep, D'Animals rig is nice. I don't have that planned for mine though, not to that extent anyway. That's what I'm talking about with the bed though. I can fab up something a lot cheaper then I can buy a bed so that's the route I'm gonna take. I've got another 40 I can cut up and to make the...
