    Fiberglass top spider crack repair

I'm just getting into the top repairs and the fiberglass is covered in spider cracks. I did some reading up and common repair is to take a Dremel to all the cracks then apply gel coat. There are so many cracks I think I am better of to sand all the gel coat off and apply new gel coat. Anyone...

    Headlight Question

Thank you for the replies and advice. I do have a wire diagram and it has helped. I check and replaced the fuse and cleaned the terminal. I have 12v+ on both sides of the fuse. It is the original harness and it has a SBC conversion from the 1980s. I had to clean up the harness from the...

    Headlight Question

I'm thinking that as well. So far I confirmed the ground using a miltimeter to check ohms and both are good at the bulb socket. I checked the connection at the column and the low beam (red/green wire) has 12v going into the connection but only 6.5 coming out. Going to keep checking all wires and...

So far so good but headlights are being strange. I have power to both left and right headlights at the bulb. Both...

    Rear heater motor

I was hoping I could have it repaired but when I went to the alternator amd starter shop he refered me to the Armature specialist. They checked it out and said it was beyond repair.

    Rear heater motor

I need to replace my rear heater motor in my 1975 fj40. The one I have is not repairable per the local armature repair shop. Before I but a 40 year old used OEM I thought I would see if there is an aftermarket motor that might be an improvement over the original. I looked around a bit and don't...

    1975 FJ Resurrection

Another step closer to getting her back together. After 2 weeks of scraping, sanding and wire brushing the underside was ready to coating. I used POR15 with tintable Raptor liner. Brushed and rolled the POR15 and was my first time applying bed liner with a spray gun. I like the final product and...

    1975 FJ Resurrection

Pretty good week this week. Got the engine, transmission and transfer case back on the chassis which gives some room to start on the body. So far, the tub is as rust free as expected. I had 2 areas that needed patches welded in (left quarter and under gas tank) and some antenna holes to fill...
