sorry didn't get back to you sooner. I haven't resolved it but I plan on replacing all of the actuators and see if that doesn't fix it. Figure it's all original and probably on its way out anyway.
I have a 2000 LC with an odd issue that I can't resolve.
Symptom:
1 > Unlock (driver/passenger/rear hatch) door (via factory remote key fob or key hole) will trigger the horn to sound (even before the door is open). (no aftermarket alarm as far as I know of)
2 > Factory remote key fob...
Don't make the project more difficult than it really should be. Relocate your fuel tank so you can do a 4 link setup that does not require a panhard bar.
Here are some reference links for the fuel relocation - more reading (sorry):

Alex:
1. I believe ARB is working on a snorkel system (read it in TTORA's site)
1a. water proof ignition... dunno
2. dunno ya got me
3. easy on the skinny pedal :)
4. is the sac really that necessary? unless you start breaking stuff I'd say it's an overkill. As nullifier states, the...
dunno if any of the 6" kits are available yet. the 35's on the 8" front diff should be no problem except for the gearing. you'll be severely underpowered w/ the v6 motor. I've got the v8 in my 4runner (2003) w/ 35's and it's a bit sluggish. Gears are in the works but no exact ETA yet - hopefully...
Just got it off the press from Northridge Toyota. Looks like it's gonna be a smokin event! If you're in the area, I highly recommend ya check it out. Also the Laker girls are gonna be there so that's definitely a BIG PERK!!! :D

Actually the 2003+ 4runner, 2005+ Tacoma and 2007+ FJC are all based on the TLC120 series (Prado). I believe the 120 is still considered a LC right? If that is the case then Pierre is correct on that comment. The engine and the tranny are the same but the drivetrain is not. Actually the 4runner...
you'll want to regear first but unfortunately there are none that exists. This means that you're sort of stuck w/ the 3.727's for now. Aftermarket gears are in the works and expect to see stuff hit the shelves this fall from the mfg.
crawl box from marlin is also in r&d but no exact eta has...
chwtoy, thanks for the props :)
Really don't want to hijack the thread but it might be some good info regarding a SAC if anyone is planning on the FJ/4runner/Taco.
Before going face first into the mods that I did, I took a hard look at what I had and what I've done on the trails and what a...
Demello Offroad did a SAC on their 05 Tacoma. It's the same engine/drivetrain (except for the fulltime M/T but otherwise) it's been done so it can easily be done on the FJ. They used a D60 though.
you really can't blame the sales moron that much. i mean they're pure sales drone that's there to sell whatever they get on their hands at all costs. they work for commission and if it doesn't work out at one place, they move to the next. they don't have the time nor would they take the time to...
the 4runners are made at both the tahara and hino plant. the 11th digit will represent the different plant build; '8' indicates Hino/Hamura while the '0' indicates Tahara.
most likely the fj will follow the same w/ the 4runner.
