All,
I am in the process of rebuilding my clutch master cylinder and I can't get the piston out of the housing to save my life. The push rod, snap ring and washer have been removed. The piston seems that it is hitting a internal lip or shelf in the housing that will not let it pass to be...
My vacuum advance on my 1982 FJ60 2F took a dump. Looking for a good condition, working unit. Would rather not purchase the entire dizzy if possible.
Located in Richmond, VA 23228.
Thanks,
Chris
Thanks to Rex and Coolstream I properly converted over my R12 to R134. He is a wealth of knowledge and went above and beyond to help me located some obscure parts.
Part of the conversion required replacement of all my O-rings, which I thought went smooth. I took the truck to have the vacuum...
Looking for a A/C compressor D side top flange for a FJ60. This is the top flange that is held on by 2 hex bolts. The D side is the flange with the straight fitting. Zip code is 23228, need ASAP.
Thanks,
Chris
Quick question - I just recently purchased a new compressor and all the needed parts from Rex @ Coolstream (who btw is awesome) for a R134 conversion, and I have run into a question. Rex told me I would need 10-12oz of the PAG oil for the retrofit, but looking through his threads it states add...
Quick question - I searched, but didn't come up with any conclusive information. I just replaced my exhaust/intake manifold gasket a couple weeks ago and have hit 500 miles since the rebuild. Everything seems good, but I want to re torque the bolts. My question is, do I need to remove the carb...
I am in the process of installing a new manifold gasket using the stud kit from SOR, although I can't get everything lined up. What trick am I missing?? I have removed a couple of the exhaust hangers with hopes of allowing some give to better move things around - no luck with that. I also have...
I have everything torn down for a exhaust/intake gasket replacement, short of sending my carb to Mark A or Jim is their anything I can do to clean my carb while its off? I am not comfortable rebuilding it myself. Shooting carb spray down every port possible?
While attempting to separate the exhaust and intake manifolds I broke one of the longer bolts, leaving about 1/4" in the exhaust manifold. There is enough of it left in there so I can not separate the two. My options look like:
1. Buy a used exhaust/intake manifold
2. Take it to a machine shop...
Het guys - I have a annoying clunk on my front end that is driving me crazy. I rebuilt the front axle last year with all new OEM parts-bearings, races, seals,etc... so I do not think it is the knuckles. Could it be a birfield? The tie rods are fairly new, all 555 brand. Everything else up...
Hey guys -
I met several of you all at one of the tech days up @ IPOR last year (front end rebuild). Anyways, I have a light blue rear hatch for a '82 FJ60 that I would like to pass on to someone for free. It doesn't have defrost or an wiper option. I would say it is in fair condition...
1993 Toyota 4Runner, SR5, 3.0 V6, 4WD, 167K, 5-speed, white with gray leather interior, sunroof, power everything, A/C. 2nd owner, owned since 2003 with 72K. Meticulously maintained using OEM replacement parts whenever possible. I have used some NAPA premium parts occasionally when OEM is not...
I recently rebuild my front axle, knuckles, wheel bearings, etc... Everything drives and sounds great. I have put ~ 150 miles on since the work. Today I noticed a small amount of birf grease that has passed by the felt wiper. Is this normal? I only noticed it on one side. Anything to worry...
Hey guys - I have a quick question. I am in the middle of a front end knuckle/axle oil seal rebuild. Can I reuse the race for the front axle? It is the race for the upper and lower knuckle bearings ( I think..) I have a new lower one, but have misplaced the upper one. Any issues? It...
