Was wondering if in all the "rest of the world" variants of the FJ60/62 if there was ever a front bench seat. Did a search on this forum....there are a helluva lot of posts that contain "bench" and "seat" but nothing with a combination of the two in the order I'm looking for.
Pretty sure its a...
Didn't see anything about this, so figured I'd post up. I have a 84 R12 system that over the years has had R12, and envirosafe as the cooling fluids in the last 10 years. This last year I dug the truck out of the back 40 and discovered it was cooling poorly. Go to look, and can't find a vendor...
In the last couple of months I have had two different people approach me regarding my FJ60. One asked if I was "still trying to sell it" and the other just flast out asked if it was for sale.
Nothing on the rig has a "for sale" indicator on it. Makes me worry about leaving it parked anywhere...
I remember having a helluva time finding a "fish scale" to help measure bearing preload the last time I had to rebuild the knuckles. While getting ready for a trip I saw this on the "fierce woman" shopping site
and wondered if anyone has tried using one of these handheld luggage scales...
Need to replace my mechanical fuel pump on my 84 FJ60. While looking at various sites I noticed that one insisted that I use a "spacer" or they wouldn't warranty the pump. Every kit I have found elsewhere has just the two gaskets, no mention of a thicker spacer gasket. That seems to be only...
Searched around and can't find an answer. Read the FSM, no answer. Searched the interwebs. No answer. Feel like a dumb@ss for even asking, but here goes.
Oil pressure sending unit mounted underneath the oil filter. Should *not* require an "O" ring or anything else (tape, etc) to have a good...
Up on evilbay. One-off 60 custom, but has AZ plates. Was wondering if anyone knows who built it? Lots of pics if someone is planning on making one as reference I suppose.
FJ60 Truck!! WHAT?!

Just got a new neighbor from the mid-west, and he's a machinest. He is looking to se if anyone has any recommendations for a shop in the Tucson/Marana area, and figured if anyone did it would be Cruiserheads.
Any suggestions will be forwarded to him so can check them out and see if they're...
Greetings -
having recently noticed that an oil leak has caused some heater hose softness, I've been thinking about a field repair that I once had to do in a parking lot. The small hose on the water pump that runs from the lower pump thats about 3 inches long, to a hard pipe that goes...
Was reading the hometown (born there) newspaper, and came across this. As it is.....ahem...cough.....Landcruiser related, thought I'd pass it along.
Well now I've herd everything... Cattle drive with a difference goes viral with 200,000 views - BelfastTelegraph.co.uk
Just a laugh for Sunday...
Anybody ever heard of these? I know about having JimC or someone else on the club recurve your dizzy if you desmog, but haven't heard of an actual *upgrade* that would produce better spark. Wondering if it comes with its own bottle of snake oil, or if its legit. Here's the ad copy from a CL ad...
Just saw a crying shame thread in the 60 group. Dude bought himself a nice looking 60, and 130 miles later it blew the engine. Is there someone in the Phoenix metro area that can show some brotherly/sisterly love and reach out and get the 411 from the dude? I've already suggested he get in...
Ok - nothing to do with my cruiser, but figured there might be someone who might know the answer on the board. I bought a used RV a couple of years ago up in Phoenix and drove it down to Tucson and parked it at a storage lot. It was some unknown model of cat diesel, with an Allison tranny...
Just got my seized pump apart, and devaned it. *Found bits of the center one, oh dear* so I'm trying to puzzle out how to remove the center section that the vanes sit in from the unit. I've read that its pressed onto the shaft for the main pulley.
I've got the front and rear replacement bearing...
Ok - feel like an idiot for having to ask, but I will anyway. Apparently there are differences between the BJ60 and FJ60 and HJ60 tranny setup and I want to make *sure* before I dive under the rig.
When pulling the H41/42 tranny on my 84 FJ60, I can or cannot leave the bell housing on the 2F...
Just called Desert Toyota in Tucson and talked to Justin in parts. Asked for a water pump for an 84 FJ60 with the 2F motor.
$575.60, and he would have to order it in. Apparently the new TEQ certified water pump are made of depleted uranium. And then covered in platinum. And made to pump...
Looking to job out some of the work on the FJ60. Looking for some crusty mechanic with a heart of gold and decades of experience to do a good tune up on my 2F. Emissions is coming up at the end of March, and want to have lots of lead time before taking it in.
Anybody got any shops in town that...
The olive one at Pocos and Mom at 22nd and Kolb, and the red one at Home Depot at Pantano and Broadway. Anyone know the owner on the olive one? It was....just....wow. I note with pride that the olive one appears to be shod with 60 series steel rims. It was far more olive appearing in person, the...
Saw this, figured I'd pass it along. Apparently you can roof tent on all sorts of vehicles. :)

Looking to see if we have a PCSO, TPD, or other LE member that can do me a favor. I have the usual collection of "project" vehicles that I've been informed by the dear wife are no longer needed or wanted to clutter the backyard. I have titles for some, but not all of them.
I understand that to...
