For what it's worth most of it squeezed out when compressed.

I also encountered that the stock exhaust would not clear the spring shackle for removal so it had to be removed. I may reverse it and test it out if greasing that upper zero becomes an issue. Luckily I had a new stock exhaust, hardware, isolators and gasket on hand to put in. My old one...

Started on my Dobinson lift instal yesterday. I got the rear springs & yellow "comfort" shocks installed. I ended up removing a leaf as others have done. (Pic borrowed from mud, @wrndog I think) I removed the 3rd one in the stack, I.e. the 3rd shortest. It is the first one that doesn't have...

Excellent work you've done with your 62. I really enjoyed reading your build thread and thanks for sharing the info about the Dobinson lift and dialing it in. That info helped me a lot on my install

I am on the hunt for the front skid plate too. It's pictured here between the frame rails in front of the steering stabilizer. (Pics borrowed from mud). If any one has one to spare please let me know.

I uncovered the original markings on the springs too. Other assembly paint marks from the factory revealed them selves on the Pittman arm and sway bar brackets

Added some 70 series fog lights from @Cruiser Cult and wired them up with a spare PIAA 510 kit that I had laying around. Currently using the PIAA switch until I can repurpose my spare rear defrost switch.

The dieseling was in part due to the idle control solenoid on the carb. The old o-ring disintegrated when removed. So I ordered new rings and gaskets. Installed a new crush gasket too. I have a spare 60 carb that I robbed the idle solenoid from and also added an aftermarket solenoid to the bag...
