Just picked up our new to us 2020 TRD Pro, that we’re absolutely in love with, except for one thing:
I searched the threads on this topic, but didn’t find anything. I figured there would be a ton of people looking into this…
I HATE THE SEATBELT CHIME. I want it gone. Before you jump in and tell...
Hello all. I haven’t been keeping up on the latest 4Runners, but have decided a 5th Gen will be my next vehicle. The wife will drive it daily, but it still has to be capable enough to handle colorado trails and camp trips. Looking to add sliders and a winch bumper. This vehicle will be used for...
Spring is here.. all you Toyota guys should get your flip open sunriders on, and remove your door pin locks- so you can get ready to go wheeling topless and door-less!!
Oh... wait... sorry. My bad. Nevermind.
;):rofl::cool:
Probably be lots of discussion on the PIke San Isabel draft environmental impact study (DEIS). If you think it doesn’t affect you, you’d be wrong. Come on out and join the meeting. Hope to see you there.
Hello All.
CORE is holding a work day on Tomichi Pass this Saturday. It is an ambitious project- attempting to widen the road to full size vehicle width, where the slide has gone over the road. By hand. We will not be attempting to remove the slide completely. There will be two crews, one...
Hello All. This is Luke Gilginas, your Southern District VP for the COA4WDCi. I will be speaking for the Southern District this weekend at the All-4-Fun event. Is there anything the Club would like mentioned at the 3rd quarter meeting? Volunteer days? Club runs? Status changes?
Just wanted to share how happy I am with these kits. I’ve had mine for a while now, but I’m just now going through it, and adding the quick release mount inside my rig, to keep it secure. Every time I open this thing, I’m impressed with how inclusive it is. Definitely not just a “boo-boo kit”...
I believe this would be a good opportunity for our club, to combine efforts and clean up this area.
This is coming from the COAO4WDCI:
Colorado Springs Christian Four Wheelers and Big Horn 4x4 are doing a coordinated clean up with Focus on the Forest and the Pike National Forest crew on June...
Hey there! This is Luke Gilginas, your Southern Colorado VP for the COAo4WDCi.
I would like to extend the invitation to all of our members to attend our 2nd Qtr State Delegates meeting.
This Meeting will be held at The Springs Journey Church, located at
1250 Vondelpark Drive, Colorado...
Really nice 1972 FJ40 for sale on FB Marketplace. $5000 is an unheard of price. If I had the money, I’d be on my way to pick it up. Would love to see someone here get this.
Won’t let me copy the link, so you’ll have to search for it.
I wanted to post this up, because there was a discussion in other groups, and so many people are doing it wrong.
Also- If you haven’t looked into On Trail Training’s classes, I would highly recommend it. I’ve taken their Recovery Skills 1 class, and I learned more in that 8 hours than I have in...
Just received this in the mail tonight, on behalf of the CLC Club. I will try to get it to the next meeting. Just wanted to put it here so the members could start thinking about it.
I was mentioning to Leon Basdekas in conversation one day, that I pull my Viair compressors apart once or twice a year to clean them out, because they get gunked up, and the trash scores the cylinder walls. He asked me how that was possible with the filter, and truth is, I just don’t know. Trash...
Someone was asking me about winch choices on the Shubarth run. I was talking about my favorite winch, the venerable M8000. I own three now. I don’t buy winches that don’t say Warn on them. :)
Saw this on Treadmagazine today. Apparently, they feel the same way. :cool...
I figured most have heard about this by now, but just in case you haven't... luckiest man and dog alive went off of Radical Hill in a JKUR. I'm still not clear quite how he went off. I've been over radical hill a dozen times, even in a '78 FJ40 with an iffy carb, never got close to rolling...
Anyone planning on this one? Curious what the general consensus on the route are- and plans for day/or overnight trip. With Cottonwood pass closed, the trip will have to go through Tin Cup to Taylor Pass, or over Independence. Either would be a pretty long day trip. Last year Sam and Sandy...
I received this packet of information in the mail Thursday. I will bring it to the next meeting, or possibly deliver it to El Presidente'.
In the meantime, read the information, and cost, then mull it over as to whether we will renew our membership. I'm sure that will come to a vote?
Looks like Jerry from Predator 4x4 took a crew down hackett and removed the Tahoe. I've worked out on these trails with Jerry before, his commitment to these trails is unwavering. All the more reason to support Predator with your future four wheel drive parts and equipment needs.
