Before Christmas I was driving home from work on the highway when I noticed a deer running in front of me. I turned on my hazard lights to warn other vehicles around me. After that my turn signals did not work. I replaced the turn signal flasher, removed & cleaned the turn signal assembly...
My 87' BJ70 sits a lot since I only use it in the fall months. Recently I noticed some diesel leakage underneath the truck. The top of the IP looks dry but from underneath the truck I can see that there is a plate on the side of the IP that is covered. From what I've read on previous threads...
I just removed the starter from my BJ70 (Ugghhh) after troubleshooting a clicking noise. Both solenoid contacts were replaced, the battery side contact which was totally eroded just happens to be used on Dodge Cummins trucks, so easily obtained.
Once installed the starter turned over the engine...
Seem to have a seized rear brake adjuster on the 70'. Might as well replace both sides.
Anyone know where I can pick these up at a reasonable cost within N.America?

Just had a OME lift put into my RHD BJ70, now it's time to correct the alignment and any steering issues. The steering box is adjusted as far clockwise as I feel safe and there is still a lot of play in the steering wheel. The steering linkage underneath appears stiff and the steering box has no...
Wanted: Steering box for RHD BJ70. Could also be from another model that would fit correctly.
Only interested in ones that do not have any play or leaks.
Looking for a rear window (spare tire side) for my 87' JDM BJ70 after an encounter with a fallen tree. Would prefer to find a used piece of glass in good condition with the defrost lines attached. Does anyone know of a source for new or used glass?
My 87' RHD BJ70 turn signal lights do not work. Fuse and flasher are good and the hazard lights function correctly. I measured the continuity of the connector for the turn signal and hazard switch and found the problem of no connectivity between pins 2 & 7. The Toyota manual indicates the...
I need to replace the power take off (PTO) seal on my BJ70 that the propeller shaft of the winch connects into. There is a drain plug at the bottom of the PTO case but I'm not clear on wear the filler plug is located ...is it the plug on the rear side of the PTO where the case is protruded...
Looking for a backing plate for a BJ70 Landcruiser ASAP (FJ60 should be same size). The brake line coupler on the rear side must be in good condition. Located in BC, Canada. Please respond to ralph-45@hotmail.com thanks.
As I was taking apart the front hub on my 87' BJ70 for an inner axle seal replacement I broke off the brake line where it connects into the dust plate. Does anyone know of a good replacement? The old brake line hose looked kind of hard anyways.
My BJ70's AC has just gone intermittant, most of the time I switch it on and nothing happens but then sometimes all of a sudden it starts blowing cold. When it starts working I hear a screeching noise then the noise goes away. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
Considering selling my BJ70 as it's not seeing a lot of use. Bought 4 new 255/85/R16 BFG M/T's last fall to give additional clearance. Good solid truck!
Will provide more detail and pictures if there is interest.
