    Clutch pedal engagement point

No leaks at all... She's tight. inuendo not intended. I've gone through the adjustment as described in the FSM to no avail. This can indeed lower pedal engagement height but any extra distance you get in pedal stroke before the engegement point is just taking up mechanical freeplay... just...

    Clutch pedal engagement point

Like what? engaging in the first few centimetres of pedal stroke? I don't think so. Even if it is, I don't like it and want to change it!

    Clutch pedal engagement point

Goat, Definitely seems that way. But I think I've ruled that out... since that transmission swap I've changed every variable that I can think of. The engine has even been swapped for a newer 2H from an HJ60. So its been the same high engagement point with varying combinations of clutch fork...

    Clutch pedal engagement point

Yeah clutch function appears fine. However I think that either the clutch wears out prematurely OR because the throw out bearing is always pushing on the pressure plate, as the friction plate wears out it stops engaging sooner than it should. Did the adjustments you make fix your problem?

    Clutch pedal engagement point

Hello fellow mudders! I've been absent from here for a while now but I have had a niggling problem for ages that I really would like to resolve. Here's the low down: 1981 HJ47 troopy. A few years ago I swapped in a H55F transmission. You can find a link to that thread here...

    Panels For a 45

Actually, all the parts I have are from a troopy, so the roof would be no good to you at all. I want to get rid of the whole lot pretty soon - pretty much a complete car in pieces with heaps of spares.

    Panels For a 45

What condition are you looking for? I have a set, but they're in pretty average condition

    A real FJ45

Isn't that a steering wheel I can see on the RH side of the rig? Those look like Aussie plates. And its an HJ.

    Aussie Help needed

Yep, should be 4.11. Pretty sure Aus didn't get the 3.7 ratio in the 40 series

Hj47 troopy re igniting the spark (60 into 47 troopy)

Hey man, very nice troopy. Same colour as mine. And like you, I have a love affair with mine :). Where abouts are you located? Sweet action on that trailer too .... looking very fine indeed. My personal opinion is that you should go for a 5 speed. I put a 5 speed from an HJ75 in my troopy...

Sourcing a H55 for my troopy in Melbourne.

No, definitely not "as new". But it is in pretty good shape. All synchros are fine. I took a chance and just stuck it in without a rebuild. That was about a year and a half ago, and I've not had any issues with it. But to rebuild, and to ship it, I suppose you would be getting very near to $2000.

Early 2H w/ dual fuel filters

Not sure if you get this brand in the U.S, but these are the suckers you want: Search for oil, fuel or air filters by part number : Air Filters, Oil Filters and Fuel Filters :: Ryco Filters :: Automotive Filters Australia I think you can swap the filter mounting block sraight out for a more...

Sourcing a H55 for my troopy in Melbourne.

I want want of those ......... pipe dream When you guys say a new one is not that much more expensive than a second hand one, by what sort of margin are we talking here? How much is a new H55 in the US? I bought my second hand H55 for $600 Aus. Matt

Sourcing a H55 for my troopy in Melbourne.

Hey Chuck, I'm from Perth, Western Australia. When I did my H55 conversion I had a look for a 40 series top loader, with no success. They are around here in Oz, but I think they only came in the late model LXs and BJ42s - which are relatively rare, and tend to be the type of model which people...

    My traveling HJ47 :)

Hell yes! That troopy is very fine indeed. :grinpimp: Interior pics would be great, I'm really interested to see how that sliding bench seat / double bed arrangement works. Welcome to Mud !! Cheers, Matt

    hj47 elec problem

Tom, you're a regular logical genius. Nice work indeed, well said. Infact, I remember my HJ47 had its EDIC oil pressure sender disconnected for ages with no problems - although with this setup you negate the safety of a low oil pressure situation killing your engine if left unnoticed. So ...

    hj47 elec problem

x 2 on the more info. How do you know the EDIC does not work when that electrical connection is made up? I mean, does the EDIC arm remain in the "off" position? You're sure you have seen that arm NOT move when the engine is cranked? If this is the case, I'm perplexed because I can't see how...
