My truck rusted around the top of windshield gasket, and now leaks water like Titanic. So I need to remove windshield and get that fixed. Need help. If somebody did this and have pictures of how its done I would greatly appreciate.
Thanks

I owned my LC for few years and just today realized there is big storage room under arm rest :bang:
I dropped my wrench into the slot for coin so I was looking for a way to remove the middle console then realized there is another storage under the armrest.:D
BTW Do I need to remove center...
Well for some reason truck stopped doing it so I am not sure what to think of whole thing :bang:
I just need to keep it running until snow stops. Then I will drop oil pan and check oil level sensor itself. I think thats the problem I have.
My Wife is starting to suspect something :smokin: She caught me sleeping with Oil seal replacement section of FSM :D Then flat out complained after me coming to bed late everyday for a week and sneaking to garage to check if my pump cover is not leaking anymore.
Maybe next time when I am rebuilding front end, but most likely I will look for Mobil 1 in a can. That was the only reason I used Valvoline, when I started rebuilding I could not find Mobil 1 in a can only tube. So I used Valvoline in birfs and Mobil 1 in bearings. There is thread here that...
This thing cost me so much money its not even funny, I though my brand new Marlin seals are leaking so I replaced them again, then replaced spindle with new needle bearing thinking maybe they are too loose And allow axle to flex and leak oil. :bang:
Then I said screw it and drove 1000 miles with...
Yeah first I thought my brand new seals are leaking but after seing gear oil level not changing for 1000 miles and soup still coming out I suspected that grease. I pumped Mobil 1 instead and soup pretty much stopped.
Ha ha 99.9% of people here are obsessed with their Land Cruisers (even if they dont admit it);)
So they will "FIX" things before anything breaks, even if it would never break in a first place.
I mean think about, you had to be obsessed, if you driving 20 year car that does 14 MPG down hill with...
This thing bugs me. So level checks and everything reveal no problems, idling in place at higher RPMS no problem. Its Up the hill driving on cold. :censor:
One thing why my truck was not doing it before and suddenly after bunch of work done this year when winter came I have that issue :hhmm...
Thats exactly what happened to me. :D When I bought truck front harness was missing and actuator was broken off at the same locations. That's funny:cheers:
Hmm. I think I tied mine to 10 ft-lb  Thats going to suck to remove them.
The good news I dotn think I am going have to remove them when on engine since I want to do chain guides and reseal oil pan 1 & 2 so it maybe not that bad removing all that on the bench.
Yeah Oil pressure guage seems to be OK, and it is showing constant good pressure.
I hear you on oil type thats something I am considering. I did read somewhere that Rotella 5W-40 is very thick at cold but I would never imagine its so thick that oil does not flow back to oil pan. I am wondering...
Ok thats actually good, I am downloading your 96 right now, I have few days off so I can probably look at fixing the internal links through hex editor. Or maybe something else. I have 94 FSM I even have some body work items. I am sending you PM with my e-mail address. If you interested I can...
<<<<< Silver Star here
Hey BirfMark
I am a silver star too but not in urgent need of 96 FSM. Would love to have it if it is different then 94 one.
How did you fix links in FSM? hex editor?
Yes I checked oil level per manual, even cold after a few hours and still dip stick is showing full np.
Its only Oil Level light "yellow with oil can and squigly thing" that comes off from time to time. And it does that only when driving up the hill. I can run engine at 2500 RPMS parked on...
