I'm looking for a quality mechanic for my son to take his 07 FJ Cruiser to have some work done. He is in school at UNCW and I don't know of any mechanics in that area. He has all of his dashboard lights lit up so we need to determine what is going on.
Thanks for any help!!!

Well…. it wasn’t the head gasket or the sun roof. Still not sure what caused this. I drove it the next day and I couldn’t get it to vibrate again. So weird. It was a vibration in the steering wheel that shook back and forth from left to right. Check air pressure and all lugs...
my 96 cruiser all of a sudden developed a sever shake at 40mph. below and above that speed it seems fine. At first i thought i had lost a tire weight but im thinking now it could be a bearing or something else. Any suggestions what it may be?
I can see the feathering. the tires only have 6000 miles on them . I have the 2.5" lift with the slee caster correction. No panhard bar kit. ill try and send some pictures tomorrow.
I recently put an OME lift and 35" Nittos on my 1996 LC. When i took it for my first rotation, the guy said there was uneven "feathering" wear on both rear tire on the inside. I have looked and some suggest a 4 wheel alignment but i wanted to see if there may be other issues that i need to...
Im going to change the ujoints and see what happens. The car rides smooth at high speeds. I have noticed that at high speeds, when I let off the accelerator, I can hear a rattle/shaky sound but I don't feel anything. I did notice a loud clunk a few times when I put the car in reverse.
If my headlights are left in the in position, after cutting off when the doors open, then the doors will lock, the chime alarm will come on, the headlights come on and I have noticed the rear I terior
Light comes on but it’s very dim.
With my new lift and the slight vibration, I have decided to swap out the u-joints on the front drive shaft. What is the best option for U-Joints? OEM, Spicer, other???? I figured if I remove the drive shaft, might as well go ahead and replace. It has 200k miles on them.
Does anyone else have a cruise where the doors lock and the lights come on when you open the rear hatch? I assume this is some type of security function. Is there a way to turn it off?
Just a quick update... I greased all of the u-joints and yokes... I didn't notice any difference and the vibration continued. I just installed new tires and I have noticed that the vibration seemed to get a little less noticeable but it is still there. If I pull the front driveshaft, should I...
