I am the second owner. I have all service records from the time that I purchased the vehicle. It was purchased from a car dealer and the other records were not included in the glove box. I can tell you that since I have had it if anything it has been maintained on schedule and flawlessly...

I was having a slow speed stalling problem, it ended up being the MAF sensor. Since that was replaced I have had no further problems.

    Considering a 100/LX470

If you are buying used now is such a good time to get a 100, gas prices have killed the resale of all large SUV's and the 100 is no exception. You can get a great deal on one in just about any year right now. Such a great car, greatly under valued.

    Tranny Bit The Dust

So you were having weird vibrations? Uh Oh, I have noted two things lately I think. One is at freeway speeds let off the gas I get a strange deep noise and vibration. Also one time, it kind of missed the 2-3 shift, with a great vibration, but nothing that is constant or repeatable. It is...

    Under Hood Light

When I first got rid of the Chevy for a Toyota, I was mad that it did not have an underhood light. Now, 6 years later, I have not needed the underhood light one time. That makes me happy.

    Spark Plugs?

I changed my plugs at 60k and they were nasty. I could easiliy see scorching and blow by on the ceramic. The plugs were covered in deposits as well. I also think that if it would have waited much longer I could not have gotten them out either. Being in the car for 7 years and 60k the plugs...

    front door replacment speakers

Yes, most likely it has to be custom made. Every Toyota I have ever put aftermarket speakers in has had some kind of customer speaker mount made to fit the factory hole. Now is it 3 hours? No way. All that the professional installer I had do was take a piece of press board and cut out to...

    "100 series does not exist"

All this time I thought I was driving a 100 series....dang....oh well. Someone should tell Toyota Corporate that their website it wrong.

Can you get or did they make a cloth interior for the 100 series

It was "availible" at least in theory and I have seen one 1998 model with cloth, but you would have better luck finding a needle in a haystack. The leather is great though, get the outside all muddy and feel like you should be sipping champagne inside.
