I have used some of their maps for Oregon trips. They mostly take you through forest roads and I don't believe any of the routes are hard core 4x4 if that is what you are looking for.

but 11k is realy strong IMHO...
sounds like he added up his receipts and is trying to recovcer his investment...

As far as the house being wired for an extra 220, I have gotten around that. Do you have any 220 at all ??
I have used the clothes dryer outlet in my garage... check the AMP draw on the welder and see if the dryer circuit will hold it. Mine have never had any problems. I made a short...
A good welder (one that truelly know his $4!t) could probably help you out.
Depending on where the break is you may have to redrill and tap the mounting bolt hole.
You may look for a used up no good 8274 and pull the part off.
