Thanks Birdman! Still one of my favorite trailrides! And still wearing the T-shirt you guys gave me...!
Truck is still for sale. I realize it's kind of a niche market for something like this. Wish I had more time to use it...
Considering all reasonable offers.

Check out Master Tech/Toyotas Only. Their off Higgins and 5th behind Big Dipper Icecream. Very good work, good people, and fair priced. Hands down the best Toyota crew in town imho.
Nice to see it out on the rocks Trevor! I hope I don't have to wait a whole year to see it in person.... FWIW, as much as some people bag on the Johnny Joints I have yet to rebuild one yet and they're quiet too. Nice work!
I know the feeling. My foodsavers' been working overtime sealing up "care" packages. Smoked salmon, baby back ribs, cheese... I juiced a whole bag of Costco limes just for drink prep. Don't want to ruff it. :D
We'll be pulling in this Sun. evening as usual. Back in our 162-3 corner again. We'll be hauling in firewood again from MT and as always we welcome social interaction. Less than a week away!
Make sure to look us up! We'll be back in our corner again this year, coming in on Sunday. Bringing plenty of fire wood again this year! Love the Sammy!
I haven't posted in a while but have been working on the truck when I can. I was trying to not burn the midnight oil before Moab but as usual that's what it's come to. The bumper finally got finished last night. It's basically a new revision of the previous one... I reused the center section...
It's sitting high now without the bumper/tire/tool boxes but I'm not sure how the reduction in leverage will play out. I'll probably have to back off the pre-load a little. That will force me into limit straps also (which I should have already had on).
We're coming down Sunday the 28th...
Here's a better shot of the finished product. We left the toyota badge on the fuel door to get the raised effect in the linex. I still need to paint over the rivets.
And finally everything re-installed in the bed. Also replaced the fuel cell and went to a different style filler cap. Now...
Here's some pictures I took today. Bed bob project is 99% done! I cleared everything out of the back of the truck and prepped it for rattle can bed liner.
I shortened and re-painted the bed covers, also with rattle can bed liner and installed them back on the truck.
I finally got back to work on the Runner. The bob is close to being done... body is all welded back together. A little bondo (I told myself I wouldn't) and some sanding and it was ready for Linex. I tore off all of the factory plastic and prepped it as best I could. Tonight with the help of...
Here they are bolted to the seat bottum.
Here they are bolted in.
Repeat on the other side.... and the seats are in!
I still have to add a bar between the roll cage "b" pillars for the shoulder restraints but for now its back to sheet metal work.:crybaby:
