    Great trucks... I have a '97 x-cab 4wd with 158K. The manuals had a clutch bracket issue that requires some welding. The seatbelts never, and I mean never, retract... The speedo cables dry out and growl (sounds like a can of rocks rolling behind the dash), especially in colder climates...

    If they can't help you in Jackson, and you come through Lander, the Toyota dealer here has a Master Toyota Tech who is a 'cruiser nut that drives a 40 series. He handles all of my hair pulling, "Why won't this dumb thing work, stop leaking, running hot, pulling to the left, etc." problems. .

    RTOM: June 2009 MrLocksmith's 1985 FJ60 "Leaky"

    I'm a big fan of this build and the no-nonsense approach. The basics like storage, power and water are covered, along with some unique personal touches. The Kelty and Oasis II finish it off nicely. All you need and nothing you don't. Very nice. Hope to see this one in person sometime! .

    I've seen that 62 on Denver's CL on & off over the last year or so. Don't know if it ever changed hands or if the same guy kept relisting it... I thought it had some great add-ons already with the OME, ARB, snorkle, (aux tank & locker?) etc. I see the crunched rear quarter panel (who cares?)...

    In LA with a 350 swap and SOA - on Craigslist I've noticed too, a lack of decent options lately. Plenty of turds but not many nice ones available since gas dropped to >$2.
