    molly and chrome I thought the chrome rings were the premium ( harder and longer lasting) but required a rougher finish on the cyl to seat properly. what brand molly ring did you use that broke?

    OK,OK, BTW I am replacing the pistons, rings, pins and bushings.I know a "visual" inspection is not really enough but, it is worth noting all bores have original crosshatching from top to bottom(probably means the bore is w/in .002") and the "lip" I think is mostly carbon and less than .001"...
