Weed Patch is a long out and back hike Weed Patch Mountain Trail Info and Map - https://conservingcarolina.org/weedpatch/ I would recommend getting a parking spot at Eagle Rock and hiking down. The views are better from that end.

First all gravel ride. Much better then riding on the tarmac.

    let’s talk brakes

I agree. Bigger rotors are the easiest. 180 should be plenty large enough.

Mountain Bikes - show/tell me how you lug yours around!

I had the last post in that MTBR thread. Those Tygart River racks were what I lusted over every time I saw one. Usually at the Gauley River. I recently saw one here at Dupont State Forrest.

I have 2 of the 1up roof mount racks that I have mounted on a homebrew carrier. I have wanted to use them as an upright carrier, but didn't think to use a cable as a tension member to keep from mangeling the ratched. You have inspired me reconfigure my carrier into an upright version. I might...

    Enduro Bearings and Yeti ...

For sure. The sb6 bearings also has an extended inner race. I'll do some searching when they need to be replaced again.

    Enduro Bearings and Yeti ...

I just replaced them on my sb6. The seals on the enduro bearings are garbage. I'll be using something better next time.

    The Bicycle Thread

I went to Windrock a couple of weeks ago and witnessed this: He managed to walk away. I didn't hit that drop or step up.
