Thought I'd throw this out there to see what the membership consensus might be.
I am considering parting with my FJ40 which has been restored with an Alumi-tub2, hard top, ambulance doors. Also has a new lift kit, brakes, steel brake lines and HEI distributor. The car is located in storage...
Sir, still available? I am coming to Texas next month and can pick up. Would you be sound in saying that it will make it back to the East Coast without a problem? Thanks.
Sir,
I'll stop by and look at it....and I happen to live in Burke. What's a good time and place. Do you happen to be a member of the LC association that meets here monthly?

Hello fellow mudders.
I have a set of side panels that have been collecting dust due to a soft top conversion. They are in good shape and have been sand blasted, rust protected and painted.....have additional photos, if you need them.
Make me an offer....you picking them up and/or cover...
any of you guys have experience with this with a Weber. i recently did an HEI dizzy, new plugs, set the valve clearences, which helped somewhat, have the right spark plug gaps, timing is advanced to 17 BTDC, as told by iron pig, played around for a couple of degree's in both directions, somewhat...

Do you have a picture??? I noticed the OEM doesn't work and the kit came with a chrome plated "V" shaped clamp. Is that what you have on yours?

Thanks

If you have one of these distributors I could use a little help/advice.
I am installing the Man a Fre version of this distributor onto the block and the kit has a V shaped clamp that bolts around the distributor clamp and down to the engine. I'm having some problems securing the...

Will have to do some pictures later in the week, most likely next weekend. i will take them with the Wet Okle seat covers and without. Very little rust. Some minor surface rust on the undercarriage but overall no glaring rust coming through the quarter panels doors or rear that you...

ok, so i'm timing my 76' 2F, and i've got the TDC set, and the oil pump. at idle, does the timing mark on the flywheel line perfectly with the little prong that sticks out, or is it supposed to be a little above or below. and its supposed to be 7 degrees above TDC
I bet that green really soaks up the heat down in Fort Worth in the summer. These Maryland rigs can get a little rusty depending on where they were owned. DC and westward get the winter salt east of DC gets the salty air. I would check the undercarriage towards the back.
