    Brake pedal pushing back

Yeah it does. I also while pumping the brake pedal the other night got the abs light, VSC and the warning alarm. Guess its just early signs of failure.

Interesting I can’t find anyone with similar symptoms.

    Brake pedal pushing back

Recent development while braking vehicle stops normally but while extended braking or holding the brake down at a stop light you can feel the pedal pushing back up against your foot. No failure. No alarms. I’ve gotten plenty of life from the stock abs/booster system but this doesn’t seem to...

Thinking its possible just rust scaling that cooked off when it got hot? They put 2+ gallons in it. Only coolant left in it would have been in the block. It held 190 fine driving on the highway. Maybe I’m just in for a few drain and refill cycles.

Just stopped by the shop. Water pump bearings seized not sheered off. You could not turn it by hand. Serpentine belt was getting chewed up rubbing on it. But after filling it and driving it the fresh pink coolant is dark reddish. Wth.

Oh I like that design! Have never seen that before. Did you go with the 170 or 180 degree? I can't get their website to load model data but other search is showing the 7302-170 and 7302-180 to work. Flint - you have any advise on further testing if the chemical test came back clear?

What brand of thermostat did you go back with?

Overheated. Trying to determine how bad and next steps.

Update. Between the weather and work I don’t have time to work on it. So I had it towed to a local reputable shop who replaced the timing belt and water pump last time. They checked for a stuck thermostat and could not get it to open. So he replaced the thermostat. But it was still not moving...

I’ll check the ATF in the morning. It will be cold so it won’t be an accurate read but it will be something. Replacement Radiator is a Denso and I replaced the thermostat (Aisin) and rad cap at the same time last July.

I think I’m going to check compression before starting it. The low oil is what has be super puzzled aka worried about HG failure. With no leaks in the radiator showing I’m starting to think the water pump failed. Which it was just after 90k miles. Just been busy and forgotten our mileage interval.

Overheated. Trying to determine how bad and next steps.

Update: I forgot to put in my first post the heater tee‘s are in tact. Replaced with OEM hoses and tees a couple years ago. Picture for non believers. I opened the radiator petcock and this is the color of coolant that came out. There is also some dark sludge in the bottom of the overflow...

2004 LX470 285,813 miles My wife was driving the LX around town yesterday delivering Girl Scout cookies with our daughters. They were gone about 2 hours with multiple stops, never turning the truck off as they dispersed their sugary confections. Her last stop was 14 miles away, about 20 min of...

Time for new CV and flange?

Good eye. Yeah I could tell that as soon as I backed that first but off.

Time for new CV and flange?

Background, 2004 LX470 212,XXX miles. Bearings repacked with new rotors last year and CVs and flanged looked great. Last Saturday exiting the highway started hard pull to the left and sounded like a flat tire. Pulled over and tire was fine. Jacked it up and the wheel bearing was for sure loose...

VGRS, VCS lights, no door locks, no side mirror control

I have discovered my ds mirror motor is what causes the fuse to blow. If the mirror switch is set for the mirrors to tip down in reverse, boom, it blows the fuse.

So in the process of replacing both valve cover gaskets I dropped a valve cover bolt down into the engine bay and it did not make it to the floor. After 30 min of searching I finally dropped the large plastic skid/belly pan and finally located the bolt....I also discovered on the DS the large...
