    New purchase old winch... totally stoked as it works very well with no weird noises or anything. My need is to respool both. One is a warm winch 5676 and the otter is an old belleview warn winch... both work so now I have replacement parts All in all I spent 250 for both in the past 15 years...

    I do have the base now.and definitely getting a two by four now.. I think I understand what you mean about the jack base and the hydrolic jack Ok so I use the lift mate tre jack tge vehicle up because my right rear is flat and I need to change it... so I use the hydrolic jack and the hi lift...

    I’m I think having a hi lift jack would be essential for all things considered for off road... as a come along... or to use as a spreader like what firemen use but manual and not pneumatic...among other things you can do... however great a tool it is, the one thing it won’t do is lift your Fj40...
