It's definately in the circuit to one of the three back doors. I checked the sill switches, but not the wires to them. Kind of a dumb oversight.
Normally, when the door is open, the switch completes the cicuit and turns on the lights. I'll check the power coming in the switches. Didn't...
I've searched but have not found an answer to this particular problem. When all the doors are closed, the "door open" light on the dash remains on and the lights in the truck remain on also.
Based on the lights that are on (in the rear doors), I presumed the issue is with one of the rear...
This is not my thread, but I did this mod. Cost me 20 minutes and no money, as I used paint and metal that I had laying around.

I faced this same dilema. I decided that the combined weight of the 40 and the trailer was too much. I've flat towed my 40 (not SOA) all over Utah with my '98 Hundy. I've only had one hiccup and that was my fault for going to fast (or not going slow enough) down a winding hill. Nothing...
I also just saw this. I used the same 3' muffler tubing. I made cardboard templated for the shape I wanted and took them to a muffler shop and they bent and cut them for me. I made my own door panels out of ABS. The doors are not heavy at all.
These have a 3" diameter rim. They Fit the Snorkels sold here by Zekester a few years back (https://forum.ih8mud.com/merchandise-storefront/162325-gauging-interest-fj-bj40-45-snorkle.html). I don't think that they fit ARB snorkels. They are washable and reusable. I have been using one for a...
I have the same set up. I found an air cleaner assembly from a 1990-ish TBI GMC truck, got some hose from a local hose/tubing supplier and a 4" to 3" dryer hose reducer from Home Depot. I had to fab a riser for the air cleaner, but they can be bought also. This is the only pic I have of it...
I finally finished mine after two years of thinking about it. I also used muffler pipe for the tops. I wanted to be able to use my STS soft uppers, and as you can see, they fit fine. I used the stock hardware, minus the locks ( I didn't see a need. I used ABS for the door panels and got...
X3 on staying away from the CCOT belts. I got one set as a gift after the first ones had issues (as noted by others), the second set did the same thing.
Another vote for the stock TBI. Easy to install, works well and easy to diagnose problems and fix them, and there are TONS of spare parts for cheap in every bone yard.
AMEN! I think most of us have a love/hate relationship with our trucks. My motto has become: "Fix it, wheel it, break it, fix it again." Been doing it for about ten years. Haven't tired of it yet. Welcome.
I know I'm a little late to chime in on this, but I think you've over done it as well. I opted for some that were about the same size/shape as the factory turn signals. I put some led blinkers lower down on the fender.
A little update.
I run a 700r4 behind my 350. I recently replaced my B&M shifter with on from Art Carr. This thing rocks. VERY beefy and solid. Well made. Shifts well and easily.
I am going to have to withdraw my support of the DC Contol electric fan sensor. Problems with the...
