MUDShip  Iron Pig from Houston to Hancock, Maine

Looking for help moving my running FJ55 from Houston 77027 to Hancock 04640; to leave before the end of April. Prefer trailer vs bumper tow, but covered is not important. Also looking for carrier recommendations; I don't even know where to start! Thanks,

    Pig Parenthood

Job related move to Houston, TX in 2014 has significantly impacted my Forum participation and activity on the 55. Not to mention that the dang humidity down here is wreaking havoc on the steel bits. I'll post a pic this weekend to show that she's still hanging tough for me. I've missed the...

    Builds SLOW 71

I just spent the last week or so re-reading the entire thread...time well spent in my estimation. Your craftsmanship is unparalleled; as is your perseverance and your kind willingness to take us all along for the ride. The outcome is beyond anything any of us could have predicted. I couldn't be...

    Who are you?

Hey Oldboisebob - been meaning to message you the last couple of weeks. Saw a beautiful gold pig up at Mountain View repair on Ustick and figured it might be yours. I haven't seen the pig in your picture around yet so I might be new. Interestingly I was parked in the exact same spot two weeks...

    Pig Parenthood

Thanks Sawtooth - The smile I get on my face every time I drive it hasn't diminished a bit in the 16 months I've had it. I try not to be too smug driving by all the "ordinary" vehicles out there. :D

9 months later I’m truly amazed that so much time has passed since my last post on this (quite obviously) non-build thread. I find it much easier to log into our group daily and live vicariously through all of your efforts. It’s a very passive activity that doesn’t require me to actually add...

    Delancy's NEW 76 PIGGY ???

Chris - I've got one very similar to Ron's with all the associated under hood components that the PO (Tom the great) took off my 4/72. I don't plan on ever using it again, so if it's something that might help you, let me know and It's yours for the cost of shipping. I don't have pictures of...

    Hinge rebuild service - maybe???

Hey Chris - Just wanted to send along a thank you from all of us 55 moonbats for your efforts to help solve some of these issues. While I'm a fairly passive participant in this forum, I certainly appreciate your willingness to step up and get things done. Thanks, -Scott FYI,I did the Napa...

    Name that part challenge!

Got it! Many thanks to Ms. Lemon and Mr. Daddy...you got me looking in the right places. And for the first time ever, no left over pieces. Not saying they're in the right places, just saying I used them all ;)

    Name that part challenge!

Think I found it. Maybe on the Speedometer Gear housing? Should there be one there?

Just out of curiosity...what goes in the side (DS) of the transmission case cover assembly?

    Name that part challenge!

I thought you two had it nailed for sure. But, my idler gear shaft lock plate is still in place. This one also looks just a bit larger than the idler gear one. Any secondary WAG's out there?

    Name that part challenge!

Next Installment Hopefully Napster won't mind me glomming on to his thread here, but I have the same question. This part is left over from my recent transmission/transfer/overdrive - removal/reinstallation. Any help identifying this piece would be appreciated.

What did you do to your pig today?

I patted my pig on the flank this morning on my way out the garage to work. I told her that I was sorry for neglecting her for so long; and promised that this would be the weekend to get her buttoned up and back on the road. Over the course of the last 5 months (...I'm so slow) clutch...

WTB: Parking Brake Backing Plate and Guts

The 55 came with the drum in good condition and nothing else; so I'm looking to rebuild from scratch and could use the plate and all the bits and pieces. Anyone out there got a spare in the parts stash? Thanks in advance.

What did you do to your pig today?

Agreed!...love the photos. Though, I was a bit disappointed to learn that Gumby wasn't a black woman with attitude as his avatar would suggest.;)
