I'm working on replacing the fusible links with a Blue Sea terminal block and want to appropriately size the MRBF fuse. For the large 3 green wire fusible link , each is a 40amp wire. In parallel not sure if it should be additive or just a certain percentage over the assumed draw? Thanks to...
What size MRBF fuse to put on the block replacing the 3 wire fusible link (40a each, green wires) all attached to the single post Blue Sea terminal fuse block 120a or 40a?
Another low beam that went dim on the driver side then completely out on both. Can't seem to figure out what to check next. I am using the FJ62SLC harness but measured voltage off the original plugs.
Low beams not working, high beams work, no high beam light. 12v at the passenger side...
Thanks for the responses, I got a great drive in a local FJ60 with a HZ-T last night. Definitely keeping this or Hx as an option. Really appreciate the time and knowledge from this gentleman.
I am considering swapping a 1HZ-T into our family FJ62 and would like to do a test drive. Ideally a FJ60/FJ62. I'm located in the Bay Area, but will travel if there isn't somebody with a rig willing to offer a drive close by. If within a day's drive I can offer up a swap drive in my '75 bmw...

This is the CA CARB compliant cat, but doesn't come with flanges. Flange adapter can be used he thinks.
Anybody just let a shop weld in these Magnaflow...
I'm considering a 5 speed conversion at the time of rebuilding the transfer case +/- mcnamera gear, but would like to give a fj62 w/ the Toyota h55f conversion a test drive. Any locals willing to let me take their fj62 for a drive, roads & freeway?
Thanks

Give Kim at Coliseum Transmission a call. I just had my fj62 in there to add an oil cooler and fix a leak. I inquired about his ability to do a rebuild, rough quote was around 3500, but again that was a rough quote. All he does is auto boxes. He could have taken me for a ride trying to sort...
Yes , idling in gear with the foot on the brake. A440f Slushbox. The rumble with go away once i start to raise the rpms. Really kicks in around 900rpm if i again lower to idle.
Thanks for any input.
Researched quite a bit on the forum and so far this points at a TC on the way out. The rumble only occurs in D or R. Quiet in neutral. Here are my next testing steps, try anything else?
1) check level and color of fluid and if not red maybe the seal with the transfer case.
2) flush and change...
My fuel filter is located before the fuel pump. Checked it again today and it's full of fuel and still looks very clean. I've not disected a carb before, so when you say the fuel bowl may be spilling into the engine, is that something that would require a carb rebuild? An adjustment? I...
I have a 4 year old rebuilt chevy 350 that just passed smog with flying colors. I just replaced the sparkplugs, air filter (K&N) and fuel filter.
Everytime I start the truck after a day of sitting I have to depress the gas pedal for a few seconds while it cranks , release the pedal, then keep...
I've got a 76 fj40 with a chevy 350 mated to the original 4spd toyota tranny and original transfer. I've suffered a fall which has made my pelvis unstable and is now forcing me to get out of all my manual tranny cars for the long term. I'm wondering what options I have for retrofitting my...
Definitely sweet seats- how much work is required to install?
I'm 6'2" and I would say that after getting power steering the other big complaint in driving my fj-40 is the stock seats. Those supra seats look pretty awsome. Like the previous poster said, some tacoma or 4runner seats might do...
I've got to replace my rear wheel cynlinders and I'm wondering if I should replace the whole cylinder or can I get away with just replacing rubber outers? Also I need to replace the brake lines that run down from the steel lines as well as the ones from to the calipers. Will most replacement...
