After a well deserved trip to Marshall's Cruiser Spa the 80 is back home.
Marshall did a FANTASTIC job. Above and beyond. Believe it or not...I know it
is stranger than fiction.... he fixed the P401 Insufficient Gas Recirculation
Check Engine idiot light. He did too much to list but let me just...

$1500 for a running/working '83 FJ60.
1972 FJ40....a.k.a. Gundy.
Offer I shouldn't refuse. Decision day is tomorrow.
I very torn.
I don't need the $ but the truck just doesn't get enough use.
I don't want to see it decline and can't justify putting money in it
to stave off aging.
A numbers matching truck deserves better...

Yesterday's Waffle House breakfast was delicious. Eggs over easy, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns w/ onions,
toast and milk.
Then the wife and I dropped by Hap's speed shop ,Acme Speed Shop.
After a few minutes we started out to the shop and I never made it.
Sudden pain in stomach and loss of focus.

Check out this thing that shows up in an enhanced photo I took at Table Rock recently.
Long story, but....
I enhanced the car pic for some artsy, farking around, desktop pic.
Didn't notice it when taking it.
The "line", cloud, what the heck, appears in the first photo and next similar shot...
Merry Christmas to me.
I picked up a restored 1977 Triumph 750 Bonneville today.
It's going to look nice parked in the Buggy Barn with the
Frogeye and the B.
Black with chrome accents. Classic.
Those left coast dudes sure have access to some fine vehicles.
It's a 72. My favorite year.
Almost makes me want to sell Mimi to make room. Nah...maybe Miss B?
It would make a great Ladies truck.
She ain't buying a word of it.

Went to CVS today to fill some prescriptions. I always scan the toy section just in
case a toy Cruiser pops up. I got a Johnny Lighting model that way years ago.

2010 model FJ40 modified for off road!

I tell ya that whole area of the FJ60s is frugged up.
First the pump leak was causing repeated smog pump failures.
New pump....$$$...problem solved.
Stupid smog pumps are pos. They still went south even with
no leak NEW pump above them.
$$$OR to the rescue. That sucker is gone and I can...
Classic Cruiser/Sports car run is on for May 8th.
I know a few of us Cruiserheads own other vehicles and have expressed
a desire to do something like this.
Just thought I'd post up a thread for the upcoming
day tour through the mountains.
It's still a long ways off but wanted to post a...
Now I won't whine on and on about that system.&*^%$#* should suffice.
Leaked/sucked since we bought it.
new gaskets ..yadda yadda..
Leaked. One piece early exhaust manifold. yadda yadda leaked.
Header and fancy smancy gasket....leaked.
But at least it was quiet and ran without choke with...
*&^%*#% starters! First it was the fancy smancy high torque gear reduction one on the Bugeye
now it's the FZJ80. Thank goodness it's relatively easy to get to on a FZJ80. I went with the optional
mondo cold climate unit this time for the FZJ80 rather than get the stock unit rebuilt.
It was...
Yep....the rear diff was DRY! I noticed some slight roaring in the 40's rear.
Not bad mind you and it does have the ol noisy locker.
So today I decide to check the rear end dope. Yikes! Dry as a bone.
Guess I should check more frequently than once every 10 years or so.
Seems no harm no...
