I used hand-me-down aisin bmt 046 from the lx450 on '83 toyoder pu - just spliced '83 reservoir plug onto hand-me-down bmt 046 to fit '83 harness.
the lx got new bmt 046 and the '83 got the used bmt 046 which works great w the four-wheel disc brakes
match up connectors and should be fine
in sourcing oem out-of-production parts for the sc400 found that for oem the still-available fzj80 brake vacuum one-piece hose can be made into the two needed to replace the out-of-production 1uz-fe hoses
been doing that wherever have to
also 1fz and 1uz knock sensor connectors are same but...
still have the axxess adapter
had to jump to other things tho
did look at using sc430 controller but it doesn't fit lx450 steering wheel (larger than lx450 factory phone control)
in meantime found steering wheel cover on lx450 wheel caused damage and left ugly reverse imprint on wheel rim...
yup...
made a thingamajig w scrap parts
1st pic is mockup on spare engine on stand but actual job had tool arm rest on short 4x4 wood block (due to positioning) on top of frame rail
used one 40" long 3/4" breaker bar with 3/4" drive socket on crank bolt
Bell Lexus in North Scottsdale AZ has been a great place to shop. They presently list the oem driveshaft 37110-60520 for $349.46. Shipping is VERY reasonable.
Great pricing, great customer service and fast turn-around. First ordered from them on Amazon and now just order direct.
Really happy...
pic of drilled-out toyota brackets passenger-side before bolted to mercedes-benz c-class seat
(don't forget eye protection) 🤓
all it takes is THAT ONE TIME
yea thanks! toyed with these in sc400 coupe and ended up with sc430 black leather seats there.
sc430 seats are super comfortable too;)
crazy amazing how the c-class seats are perfect width for toyota pickup and the rails line up the toyota feet darn near perfect with factory holes.
c-class...
Welp in this case, the newer seats are out of a 2000ish (?) m-b c-class.
Had them for another project that didn't happen so this worked out.
There is NO welding required. I drilled out the factory feet off of the toyota (year?) buckets that I had in there that earlier replaced the toyota...
noticed this on spare
went and checked under hood to compare
(yea have plug covers off for cleaning:/)
thanks for post by @GeneH for info
