What’s this bolt on the back of my IP?

Couldn’t find a diagram that labeled this bolt...but for some stupid reason I screwed with it and now have no idea what it does. Anyone know what it’s for and how it needs to be setup?

    Boost leak on a 3B

Just installed my turbo kit on the 60 and Im not really making any boost. I get a spike at wot to about 3-4 psi and that drops to 0 as soon as I back off that gas at all. Ive got a leak on my throttle shaft but there is no listing for a seal or gasket there and nothing shown in the diagram...

    H55f noise question

My H55 in my BJ60 has always shifted fine but it was really loud. I had the seals and bearings in both the T-case and the transmission done by a shop and its gotten much quieter. Only noise Im hearing now is this whistle/whine in neutral, especially at higher speeds. In gear is fine, take it...

    Lift block with OME lift?

took a bit to wrap my head around that but yeah I guess that would be lowering it.

    Lift block with OME lift?

Ive got a 60 with an OME lift in it and it bugs me how much the U bolts stick out. Looks like I've got about 1 1/8'' of extra thread length that loves to catch on things. I thought I could just buy a 1/2 or 3/4 spacer blocks? This would fix the U bolts hanging down so much and give me a bit more...

    Brake, clutch and vacume question

Thanks guys. You were right! All fixed. Ive heard rummers of the vacuum pump costing damn near $2000 new and I started to loose sleep.

    Brake, clutch and vacume question

1984 BJ60 (3b diesel) with power clutch.... Trying to solve a soft brake pedal issue. Lets say I'm braking hard coming to a red light...brake pedal goes down about 60- 70% travel, as I get closer to a full stop I lift about 50% off from the pedal and then re apply to come to a full stop, the...

    3B IP diaphragm

Well that was easy! Used a small flat head screwdriver to straighten the pin out and a pick to pull it out. Small mirror was a big help. It could be totally in my head but on my 10 min test drive the power clutch and power brakes actually felt much better. I think they run off a separate...

    3B IP diaphragm

Can someone please post up the link for the write up on changing out the diaphragm on an 3b injector pump. Getting some mixed info on how hard this is...some say its 2 hours and some say its almost impossible with the motor in??? Im daily driving the 60 so I need to be careful with what I start ;)

3B common front of block leak question

Ive got a 3B that leaks oil right above the water pump. Read several threads on this and Im still a little bit unsure on what to do. It seems like a really common leak...are all you guys doing head gaskets? The leak is too bad for me to ignore but Im not really eager to do a head gasket...

Why all the start up smoke

Thanks guys. It looks like I have the correct glowplugs for the Wilson switch. NGK7493 or Y-147T Which are 10.5V Going to do a draw test on my batteries just to see where they are at.

Why all the start up smoke

Im pretty sure the 6V was working fine but I needed new glow plugs and it was easier to go 12V with a switch than have the dealer source me 6V. Im not sure Im following you tho, what is wrong with just using 12V plugs and feeding them 12V? I bypassed all the superglow stuff and using my own...

Why all the start up smoke

smoke is white, which mean unburnt fuel right? glowing the plugs during the first few second of start up doesn't do anything for the smoke. I wonder if this could be Injectors? Bad spray pattern when they are cold?

Why all the start up smoke

Glow plugs are new. I just did the wilson switch mod. Puffs out white smoke for about 3 to 5 seconds then its clear. Idle is a bit lumpy for a couple seconds as well but smoothes out pretty quick. Defiantly an embarrassing amount of smoke gets produced in those few seconds tho.

    Need help with Glow plugs

Pretty positive I had the superglow system since the plugs I removed where 6V. Since Lordco basically only deals with NGK (and NGK doesn't make a 6V glow plug) my only option locally was the dealer. Just to make things simple for the future I did the Wilson switch mod and we are good to go...
