I have a 97. OK, so we all know the stock motors stink. We have all noticed the windows go down extremely slow, if at all in cold weather. My situation worsened when my driver side front window came dislodged from the track inside my door. I took the door panel off and tried to set it back...
I live in Northern VA. Definitely noticed they sucked in the winter. The one night the passenger window wouldn't even move so I had to have my friend pull up on the window while I worked the button.
Anyhow, I buy into the window track theory as I have been in 4runners and other toyotas and...
Seems the window motors in the 80's are weak. Are the motors weak or is it a power issue? I ask cause you can notice a significant decrease in speed/power when you say, roll down more than one window at a time. Any known remedys for this? Any way to speed these up?
Hey all, have a 94 pickup and am looking to get the front bumper into good shape again. Its a stock chrome bumper but age is starting to show, and so is the rust. I was just going to buy a new stock bumper until I realized how expensive they are.
So, I am looking for options. Is it possible...
UNCnalledge,
I live in NoVa and purchased my '97 8 months ago. Anyhow, I can swing bye and take a look some evening this week.
I'll shoot you an email.
Damn, I'd really like to see that center channel install on the back of the rearview too.
Brent, do you know what sort of speakers were installed in the rearview? Just tweeters or actual drivers?
Anyhow, the key to the LC's is the double din. Checkout this clarion center channel...
Looking for front drivers side, and front passenger side door panels. Not worried about color. Where is the best place to find these used?
Planning on using these to build a plaster mold to be used for custom fiberglass speaker panels.
ok, mildly displeased but not deterred. I caved on my toyta pick-up and went w/ bostons. Never again. I will get MB Quarts in my 80. Sounds like I will have to break stock and fashion some custom door panels. Not really what I wanted to do but maybe a new project is just what I needed...
Okay, having a hard time coming across this info but everything I have seen leads me to believe these are extremly shallow.
What is the mounting dept for the front doors?
What is the mounting depth in the rear doors?
I have no issues with cutting the sheet metal inside the doors but still want...
Great install and good work w/ those panels.
2 questions:
1) How difficult was it to drop those tweeters in the door? Looks pretty easy, just cut the hole and drop them in...
2) Did you consider dropping the tweeters in anywhere else? I was thinking about the kick panels in my 97 LC...
What is the url for "slee's" site?
I gotta find out how that custom panel was fabricated. Looking to do something similar in my 97.
Any more comparable pics?
