Anyone ever done one? I have a 67 45 that was swapped over a couple owners ago to a 350, which I am looking at replacing. I have found a complete running engine, trans, transfer case from a 69 40 that was pulled as a unit.

Thanks for all the input. As far as plans, fill it up and drive it!:steer: Not sure, a brake adjustment is in order, possible front disks, rear beanch seat, 4 speed tranny and a look under the alum panels are a few on my mind. She is pretty straight and the only rust is right under the drivers...

I found a 74 F up north in central CA for $60. I figure i could replace the 3 bad pistons with the parts motor and then eventually rebuild and have a spare. Just pissed that my cruizer is grounded and i have to drive the mini van.
The number 2 piston did look like it had something in there but the bent up ends are what gets me. Possibly he put them in there like that and then yes a throat punch would be in order. Anyone know where i can pick up 3 used pistons? Another option is a used 72 F complete for $800. Not sure...
I have a high output chevy alt that was installed by the previous owner. Not sure how hard to conversion was but i havent had any ptoblems and it looks like adirect bolt in.
