That's the twin to mine. My frame number is 13057, curious what yours is. Is the heater a Toyota one or an aftermarket? Mine had an aftermarket, but came with defroster ducts, my guess is the all did.
Well if you want cheap, PEX tubing. Cross link poly, it's semi flexible, cuts with a knife, takes fittings in brass or nylon. Only special tool you need is an expander, Milwakee makes a nice battery operated one. I use PEX in commertial/industrial HVAC, burst pressure is over 200 psi.
Early 3spd T&T-Case
You might try Merl at Classic Cruisers in Salida CO, I don't have the number handy sorry. What I do know about them is the trans likes to drop 2nd to 3rd syncro pretty easily. The T-case is pretty solid. I would just go with the later 3sp and T-case, they are MUCH better...
Great save
Seems as though most of the fixed top trucks are in the 13000 range. And that one was one behind mine on the assembly line! Is there any way we could figure out where the dealers were that sold them. In a general sence anyway, I don't even think there was a Toyota dealer in...
It's been a while since I rebuilt the FF I have but IIRC the shoes and wheel cylinders are the same as the semi floater '80 to '88. So FJ-60 parts should work. My FF came from SOR years ago, I think it's an '80 or so vintage.
I have one, pretty low frame number, 2FJ45 13057. Straight and pretty much rust free. Awaighting a bigger garage and a much needed rebuild. BTW, I read on here a while back someone was going to re-pop the back window rubbers for the sliders. Did it ever happen? Located in central Colorado.
I think this number up dates but not sure. Try 19100-61010, that should be the non emission vacuum advance destributor for mid 70's and later 2F motors.
I have an early FJ-40 top that has been in my garage for 20 years, that needs a new home. Bi-Fold door model with the factory roof vent, makes it about '62 to '64. The top isn't cracked, rain gutter is perfect, it does have a couple of holes where there were lights at one time. Bi-fold door...
I have a '95 Disco that I use primarily for off road. Love the truck, but I preffer steel wheels and tall skinny tires. I know that series wheels fit the Disco, so two questions. First, where can I find five searies style wheels for a reasonable price and second, are series steelies suitable...
The Drivers seat is the same (re-upolstered) as my early '62 FJ-45 SWB. The passenger looks a little narrow but may be the same. The drivers seat sits on rails on the tool box.
