I have a 1989 BJ 74 with an A440F auto transmission and i just found the tranny mount is broken, and the original part is no longer available. does anyone know of an option that will work? I read a thread that said a mount from an FJ 62 is close and should fit with some mods, just want to...
That's awesome, thanks for that.
Were planning a trip to Tuktoyuktuk this summer, and I don't want to risk blowing a rad hose way up there so getting as much replaced now, just to be safe. Its challenging enough to gets parts here, so up there would be brutal.
Hello everyone,
I'm looking for the Toyota part numbers for the upper and lower rad hoses for a 1989 BJ74 with the 13BT. Locally all I can get is aftermarket parts, but i'd prefer to get parts from Toyota. Our local dealership cannot help me in any way, but if I come in with the part numbers...
I did a similar fix on mine earlier this year. sorry no pics though. I have been told that these rot from the inside out. Possible condensation inside the frame.
I stopped in at our local Toyota dealership and they are a POS to deal with. Absolutely no help at all and rude to boot. Because I imported my truck and I don't use them for service they will not help me in any way. Bottom line they said, if I don't have a part number they will not help me. I...

The original rims that came with the truck have a 3 1/4" backset. My summer tires have a 3...
X3 on John at Radd. Just got a complete rebuild kit for the transfer case in my bj74, all bearings, seals and gaskets included. Had it in 2 days from ordering.
Wow, what a troubling story, really sorry that happened to you. Honestly didnt see that coming, especially the way he openly blasted some other members on this forum, calling them crooks and warned us to stay away. Isnt that the pot calling the kettle black!!!
I followed your trucks build...
Well this one took 17 hours at 250* to get to 205 internal temp. It stalled at 180* or so for a really long time, but when I did pull it apart it was just like butter. Good thing I cooked this yesterday and not today otherwise dinner wouldnt be ready until 10pm or later. Having a few friends...
Here we go again. Put another butt in at 4:00 this morning, no pictures yet but I'll get some later on. Smoking at 250* until it gets to 205 internal. Seems to be the magic numbers. Hopefully this one is as good as the last!!
