Ironman Load Plus helper springs for HZJ77

I put air bags in my 78 (coil), for the same reasons you said and I love it . Air bags are empty when there is no load, and you still get the same ride. But when the time comes, throw in some air and level her out. To easy. As Wayne said, a easy and cheap solutionJoel.

    1991 LJ78 3b turbo swap.

No help with the 3b swap, I used a 1hz/5 spd(R151) .when I got rid of the 2LTE from my lj78 it was the best thing I did, O'l sturdy Gurdy up front now. I lucked out with no drive shaft mods, and the cross member worked out in stock location. good on ya! Joel.

    Grooved up Michelin xl's

Deny- That's the same tire groover I bought, about $100.0 off E-bay with a 2 heads/sizes. I got the 1/4" and 1/2" heads/blades, the larger 1/2" was slower cutting, and benifited from some tourch heat to the rubber ahead of groover. The xl's are balanced... well close anyhow, with up to 17 oz...

    Grooved up Michelin xl's

the rims are 16x8", Michelin calls for a 16x 6 1/2 " rim. I never ran these tires without the grooves in them, though i did just put the diagonal grooves in last week. I did some snow wheeling this spring, the lack of sipes hurt, but the narrow foot print and clearence helped. I don't have a...

    Rear Barn Door Hinges

If you put some washers/spacers between the hinge and the body, on the bottom hinge this will tilt the door up. But will also by the same spacer thinkness bring that portion of the door closer to the other door. My large right door began to sag over time, so I put some washers behind the lower...

    75/79 pick-up camper fantasy

I like the fact that someone thought " hey I'm going to use the zebra stripe material for my curtains" I messured up a VW westfalia pop top as an idea for my 78, sadly 1 1/2" to wide, and I didn't even bother to measure length. Not to sure if other years were different sizes? Joel.

HZJ: Wheel on rear door, yes or no?

I hang 33's on my 78, been that way for about 4 years plus time spent in the hands of the previous owner(1992). Just the other day I finally adjusted the door up because of a little sag +- 5mm, causing the door to ride up on the catch and bind slightly sometimes. I slipped one washer on each...

    Glow plug relay orientation

I can't answer if it's good or not, but I mounted mine verticly behind my original battery , when I added my second. Been fine for a couple of years now. However there are two other relays, one for the starter and the other I can't recall. They have drain holes in the bottom, and if...

lj78 glow plugs, wilson?? or fix.... 3b swap ???

The wiring was straight forward, I needed 12v to my IP solinoid to make her run along with alternator etc.. I found my reverse/neutral start and 4x4 in my harness (2LTE auto) by going through the motions and testing the to see which pair of wires became closed (connected) when in that position...

lj78 glow plugs, wilson?? or fix.... 3b swap ???

I stuck a hz into mine, there wasn't a issue about the truck/ecu etc not having all that electricle stuff plugged in. I only ended using about a 1/3 of the wires that were required for the 2LTE. Sorry no help with the glow issue, I've gone "wilson" and I ain't turning back. Joel.

    left hand drive conversion kit

I drove a garbage truck once that had a similiar setup, but with a steering wheel/pedals on both sides. You could drive it from either side, it was a back yard special job with lots of play in all the components. I'm not a garbage man, I just played one after a few :beer:s. Joel.
