It looks like the head gasket failed in the 80 series a couple of days ago. Symptoms are bubbles in the radiator and overflow tank. Rented a block tester from Autozone and confirmed there is exhaust gas in the cooling system.
Does anyone in the Triangle area have IdahoDoug's head gasket DVD?
I have been using these bulbs for years (along with the high beam versions) and recommend them. I have purchased bulbs from candlepower.com previously, but Amazon has them (not sure if 3rd gen) for $20.78.
The 3rd gen may be worth getting if the life is longer. I will say that the hir's don't...

Post up in our for sale / wanted thread to see if anyone has a head available. I believe ST8ROCKS swapped his 3FE last year. Maybe he has the old head still available. I wonder if you could buy a new one from Fred Anderson? Probably not cheap even if it was available.
