I’m dead at work with what I thought was a bad fuel pump. But noticed my immobilizer icon flashing with the key in the ignition and will not start! Can someone check what their does with the key in and with the key in the Acc position? Preferably in a 1998, but at this point any info would be...
A few months ago I was searching for rims as I needed to replace my failing aftermarket rims before purchasing new tires. That's when I discovered Tundra rims as a viable option. A quick search here showed several posts on this topic, however it was lacking details. I hope this will help...
I've developed a leak on the rack and ordered a new unit form CDan. After reading lots about replacing bushings nothing about removing & replacing the whole rack. Elsewhere I read that I need to remove the oil filter & filter adaptor, and after crawling under the truck today I can see why...
This fan clutch failed after only 2.5 years?:frown: I had replaced this during my timing belt replacement, and used genuine Toyota parts! I hope no damage is done to my water pump, but will find out shortly.
Pictures to follow.

A friend has 2 FJ62's and one HJ62. The body is really bad on the HJ and he's was originally was going to put the Diesel / auto trans into the FJ. The dilemma is the FJ getting the diesel swap is a manual transmission FJ.
The FJ is a running rig and he has the choice to use what ever.

I got my u-joints done at Toyota, the tech was and older gentleman & seemed real knowledgeable about cruisers.
But when I got the cruiser back and check my marks to make sure everything was kosher only to find the shaft was on backwards! :o
I'm not sure if I'd do that way, but don't think...
I developed a vibration that started @ 50 mph and seems to be getting worse.
I checked everything and found a u joint that the rear u joint has some play (only in one axis).
I thought I'd pull it off and replace it with a good aftermarket brand and/or have the local drive shaft guy...
I'm finishing up the install job with new OEM Pads/Rotors and was wondering if this StopTech break in is necessary or beneficial.
Opinions welcomed.

I've got the LC in the garage and was giving it a look over thinking I'm going to jump into the timing belt R/R.
I was going to move the fan blade and the whole thing slipped at the belt, totally locked up.
Now another thing on the timing belt R/R list!
Anyone else have problems with...
I'm needing to replace my timing belt and plan on doing it myself.
Since the wife isn't working, there's no need to have the dealer do it out of necessity since we needed 2 vehicles. (wife not working = no extra $ either:o)
I had the pump replaced on the last t-belt job, and after some...
I've put off replacing my rotors for too long.
Before I order anything I'd like to see some real experiences on what's working the best.
Please post what your using and how you like them. If you have a good place to order them let me know!
Thanks,

I've searched and tried just about everything.
It has never not started before, and in fact since I put the Odyssey battery in it has started on the first revolution. ;)
I drove it yesterday, filled up with gas and drove another 12 miles home. Pulled it in the garage. The next morning it...
I'ts been a while since I've been here.....taking care of kids, working on other projects. :) But now my LC is acting up and I need some advice!
I've experienced a sudden loss of power @ part throttle. If you press it more it kicks in- usualy I'll just floor it.
The thing is, it's not throwing...
I installed my Pulstar plugs today, not much of tech article material, as everyone has done plugs before. But it’s not 20 min job as some cars- definitely not as easy as my 71 GMC.:D
I thought I could hit the high lights to help someone who hasn’t done them….
Disconnect the negative...
Anyone have a commit on these? They are quite spendy at $25 a pop.
I considered them on my 71 GMC, but thinking a good HEI and good'ole NGK will do just fine!

I ordered my new lamps from John Deere & when I called to see if they were in he said he needed to check them because they were in a box with other large items.
Well I got them and the box is a little crushed but the lamps look ok.
I don't know if he touched the lamps while he was inspecting...
One of my John Deer headlights will just start blinking. It shuts off for a bit then comes on. it does this for a while and I'm not quite sure when or if it stops because I’m in the city and cant really tell.
Has anyone had this problem? Is this a normal problem when the bulb is ready to go...
Our driver was watering the road with our Ford plow truck, he was backing up a small hill 100ft (steep) the truck was full of water & in low range. A car approached while backing up, so he pushed in the clutch in and rolled down the hill (forward while in reverse) then a pop was heard.
Now...
