I think I'm missing something when finding what shocks to buy for the f250 towers. Rancho says the top on the f250 towers is an "L1" while Monroe says it's an "LS26"
Both list the bottom mount of the cruiser as an L1.
Are these equivalent ends but they are just measuring different...
4Wheel parts has the black Series 52 15x8 wheels with 2.5" backspacing for $201.56
And then a set of BFG ATs for $585 (I had the muds in my cart last night but it seems like they've removed them in the 33x10.50x15 size so I'll get the ATs.)
So then they charge $50 to mount and balance but...
And here I thought I'd adjusted them well when I installed the wheel cylinders. I don't really remember what it was that I thought I did the first time but it certainly wasn't right.
One of the biggest things was after reading about people saying "ohh look at it upside down and backwards...
The PO had the gas filler installed so it came out the back of the cruiser but it was just kind of hanging inside the hole in the body. It wouldn't reach to actually attach. I'd bought a 3.75" hole saw to move it to the side of the body however the mandrel I had with a drill bit attached...
Which tail lights are in your stock bumper-not a trick question
I'm getting finished on my American Autowire harness install. Lots left to do but I can see the end in sight. The rig runs, has headlights, heater fan, guage lights, and turn signals so far working. Good stuff.
But I'm still...
I pulled off the transmission tunnel last night to access the factory location for the back up lights switch. It's there but there is no place to hook wires into. It's like the studs that should be there for wire have been cut off or something by a PO.
If it's not on the column anywhere...
My brother has graciously let me store the top of my cruiser in his shed for over a year and now wants it out. I've got a detached garage to put it in now and he wants his shed space back.
But the cruiser isn't exactly running right now. I've got a trailer but the top is bigger than the...
I was out in the garage trying to find the best place to mount a bolt in battery box.
I can bolt it up to the inside of the fender I guess. But there isn't a really good spot to bolt it securely too.
It seems like it would fit very nice sitting vertically in the location of the blower...
Rick's Automotive Hardware Store Universal Turn Signal Switch - Black metal Turn & Stop Signal switch
Would something like this eliminate the need to swap in a GM steering column to ease the install of an aftermarket wiring harness?
Seems pretty cool.
Any chance someone has a column and steering wheel that's already had the fab work done to it but doesn't need now? Looking for the elusive column that will "bolt on."
For a '76
Hoping for under $120 shipped. Lemme know.
I've ordered the Highway 15 kit from american autowire after seeing good reviews of it on here for it's step by step instructions and appearance.
What did you need to buy to properly install your own? Ratcheting crimper? Some kind of wire stripper they use on the Space Shuttle? Loom made...
Or is it just as much as a bikini might? (No personal experience with one but maybe some of you guys...)
I've got $75 for Amazon which is about what this thing costs shipped. And I've got a set of the soft top rails sitting at home.
The tach wire shorted out on my distributor. Is the guts of this thing supposed to look like that?
What do I need to fix it? Feel free to  but be specific with suggestions if you can.
Is this an HEI distributor? Do I need a $300 replacement? It's on a 283 SBC.
JEGS Chevy HEI...
Anyone used the hyperflex kit? Includes body mounts, tie rod end boots and spring and shackle bushings.
Don't need the spring bushings, but seems like a good price for the body mounts and tie rod end boots since I need a couple boots anyway.
Says the kit fits FJ40s and FJ60s. Does that seem...
