Thanks! I decided to keep her for now. I guess I'll sell if someone makes me a nice offer (or trade for something bigger as my kids no longer fit in the back) but in the mean time, I still enjoy driving this rig.
It pains me to do so, but I'm selling my 81 BJ42. I had a complete frame off refurbishment and upgrade done just under 5 years ago and it has been garaged since. This is a rust free diesel land cruiser
It has factory 3B engine with aftermarket turbo
ARB rear locker and onboard compressor...
So its been a few years (almost 5) so I thought I'd give an interval update.
The cruiser still runs great. I did get some antifreeze leak from the rear heater and since I store the rig in the winter, I just disconnected it. I haven't missed the rear heat at all. The edic relay also went bad...
here's a picture from the other side. I can't find the hinges the hardware that I used for attachment. I do not feel this is stock, it came with the rig when I bought it and fit my BJ42 perfectly. I switched to fiberglass half doors in place of the tailgate when I had my rig refurbished...
it attaches via hinges at the bottom and then I had a barrel slide at the top. I don't think I have the hinges anymore but will check when I get home tonight. I can also take closer pictures of the attachment points at that time
