Where did these options on my FJ-60 come from?

Once again, thanks all for the input! I'd love 2 just enjoy the rig & let sleeping dogs lie, but with these tantalizing leads I just cant let figuring out the origins of the mods go! (Really guys? If this was your rig (or as my daughter so often reminds me, HER RIG!), wouldn't you be staying up...

Where did these options on my FJ-60 come from?

Thanks for all the feedback folks! Now, I just need to figure out if the mods were done when the 60 was originally purchased at the dealership, or at some point afterward. (If any of you were Toyota mechanics with "special skills" who was working in Southern California in the late 1980's, all I...

Where did these options on my FJ-60 come from?

To be honest, I don't know what it is. Its in the line between the CB radio and its antenna. It came with the CB and the person who installed it connected it there. I'll take a better shot of it over the weekend and post it.

Where did these options on my FJ-60 come from?

Some basic exterior shots, a shot under the hood from the passanger side and (FINALLY!) the VIN plate. Looks like it come with the 4-speed originally, so I'm guessing that the H55 was a dealer install? (When I first bought the 60, the woman who owned it said that as far as she knew, her father...

Where did these options on my FJ-60 come from?

More photos! I included a better shot of the rear bumper and swingouts. The PIIA lights are set into the bumper and they are quite bright! The roll bar was already installed in the 60 when I first purchased it. The tailgate storage and the rear panels are (obviously!) Wagongear...

Where did these options on my FJ-60 come from?

Sorry for the delays folks. (It's that pesky thing called "work"!:D) I was FINALLY able to snap a few more photos. (I apologize for the ****py cellphone photos, but my Nikon's batteries were dead!) More to come (hopefully) later today. With regard to the custom bumper, that was fabricated...

Where did these options on my FJ-60 come from?

Sorry for the delay. Work sent me on an unexpected trip over the weekend and I just got back today. ;) I will take photos of the door plate as well as the one under the hood on the firewall as well as some under the hood photos. (Did I mention that it also came with a duel battery setup?)...

Where did these options on my FJ-60 come from?

Okay Cruiserheads, I need some help figuring out the lineage of my 1987 FJ60. (I’ve handed over the keys to my daughter, who said that she was curious about the unusual options it apparently came from the factory with.) I purchased my 60 from a young woman in Los Angeles in 2007 for $2000...

    WagonGear 2013 Annual Report

Rear Panels for my 86 FJ60? Kevin: I know its been a while, but it's me, Hector from Los Angeles! I am sorry to hear about you shutting down for the summer, so hopefully I could put one final order in before you close shop. I just need a pair of the side rear panels for my 86 FJ60. (I...

    Factory Locker Conversion

I live in the San Gabriel Valley and I have OEM cable lockers on my 87’FJ60. If you’d like to come by and check them out to get an idea on the feasibility of the conversion, PM me and we can set something up. However, as everyone else on the forum points out, sourcing everything you need for the...

So I locked my keys in my 60...

Two suggestions: 1) If you live near L.A., shoot me a PM. Chances are pretty good that my key will open your 60. 2) A medium sized rock followed up by an insurance claim should get the job done in a pinch!

    Custom Fabricated Dash Grab Handles

If they are still selling these grab bars, could you please PM me with their contact information so I could order one for my 60? Don’t feel bad about not being able to find this post when you did your search. I was looking for this post as well, but I just could not track it down. :doh...

    How much is Enough

Sorry fellas, but it rarely gets too cold in my neck of the woods. :grinpimp: On the coldest mornings out here in the City of Angels, it gets down to the low 40s. During those times of “extreme weather,” slight choke, 30 seconds of warm up while I get things in order, push the choke back in and...

    Buying Help 1985 FJ 60

I don’t know, but given the number of miles and the rust issues, $4700 seems a bit on the steep side. (However, given that I purchased my 87’ FJ60 for $2K with no rust, 165K miles, and OEM cable lockers front and rear, I might be a little spoiled!:grinpimp:) Where do you hail from? I’m certain...

    1987 FJ60 Owners Manual

Big Cruiser Guy, would it be possible for you to scan and post your 86’ FJ60 manual? I’ve been looking for one for a while and I’m certain that there are other forum members who would be interested in downloading this manual as well.

I know this is off topic, but . . .

Thanks for all the input! (I knew that I’d get some thoughtful responses from the group!) As suggested, I don’t intent to randomly “pick-and-choose” individual parts for the rebuild, but instead get some suggestions for an RV cam/Edelbrock intake manifold/piston and Rochester carburetor...

I know this is off topic, but . . .

Okay folks, I just made purchase that I hope I’m not going to regret. I was able to convince a neighbor of mine to sell me his son’s long abandoned 72’ GMC Jimmy. It has a stock Dana 44 front, GM corporate 12 bolt rear and it looks like about a 6-inch lift. At some point, they put in a 454 of...
