    Best Alternator Replacement

    Sorry guys, didn't see the replies to my replacement alternator. I have a '99 LC. Replaced the harness plug with the plug number I gave you in the previous post to connect to the Tundra/Sequoia alternator. I did this some 5-6 yrs ago and works like a charm.

    Easier to find a Tundra or Sequoia alternator at stores. They also have more amperage, 130/150amp. I put a Tundra one in 6yrs ago, just had to use the Sequoia/Tundra connector (Part #90980-11964), if need splices the part #82998-12440.

    Nah, I didn't notice any real difference. I even went from 33s no spacers to 33s with spacers, then to 35s with spacers.

    No, but I did more than a pinch weld mod. Cut a little more and also cut my front stock bumper a little. I should also mention that my 2.5" lift consists of a 1.5" lift with a 1" body lift.

    I upgraded mine to the Tundra/Sequoia alternator 130 or 150amp vs stock 90amp (?). Just need to replace the connector to the alternator (P/N: 90980-11964). If you running extra electrical stuff good to have the extra amperage available (ie sound system, LED light bars, winch, etc...).
