A loud knocking noise can come from a seized injector or injectors .I often have this problem with old boat engines with water in the fuel you doent need much!
Hello all, I have lost power to my dash lights and the first three speeds on the heater fan even the clock does not dim when I put high beam on. I supose a relay is to blame can anybody point me in the wright direction.

My glove box looks like its made from cardboard! The 24v to 12v transformer is behind the plastic panel on the outside of the passenger foot well (left hand drive).
I allso fitted a relay so that I dont lose the memory on the radio.

I have a problem when shifting to L4 the front axel stops driving!
everything works ok in H4 and H2 but when I go to L4 there is a grinding noise and if I push the T Case lever over to L4 I can feel that stuff is grinding and not engaging.
I know I should not be insisting I know...
Hi thinking of putting 33's on my 61,I only have one question what difference does it make to speed and gearing.

I have a loud ratchet noise coming from one of the front hubs when I am pulling hard with the truck in 4wd and the hubs locked?
Has anybody had this on their 60?
I have had them off twice once to do the bearings and once to do the disc.
24v is good
The 24volt system is a lot more reliable ,the bulbs in lights hold out longer,there is less strain on the wiring and all the contacts .I have seen some very corroded terminals on heavy plant machinery still working fine!
When my need for 12volt is big enough I will add an alternator...
AC pump location
I have been thinking of doing this to my 61 and have guessed that putting the alternator where the AC pump is/was would be a good idea? A second alt is the best and most reliable way of getting a totaly independant 12v system,even better if you have a insulated earth alternator.

The green plug is something to do with water temp and preheating I think would have to check though.Do both of these work OK?
The leak looks like oil coming from the front of the engin or the bottom of the inlet manifold, best thing to do is degrease and keep an eye on it.
