Depends I suppose on how you treat your vehicle.
We replaced everything on my friends land cruiser to try and resovle poor braking, Booster, cylinders and pads, all rubber pipes.
Took two years to finally get there :), even replaced the LSPV with the same results.
Only when we read the manual...
check for bent linkage on the h/L shifter, meaning its not quite going into gear.
You have to see if its all in tollerance I guess, sounds a bit odd, it must not be aligned up somewhere, I have the workshop manual if you like ? :)
And going back to your lever system modification for the H4...
Check the vac pump by removing the pipe of the booster, you should a little whoosh of air when you take it off(with car running of course).
Poor braking could be the adjustment of the LSPV, if has minor adjustment by undoing the bracket on the dfff and moving a little.
Major adjustment is done...
Check your front locking hubs are locking.
The noise you describe sounds like mine when I engage the switch for 4wd wihtout the hubs locked up and driving, which is only by accident :)
They might just need popping off and cleaning and greasing, provding they are off the manual type?

Also I believe the vacuum is used on some models such as the 1KZ-T (mechanical fuel pump), it adjusts the fueling (something to do with turbo pressure?) and the A/C idler.
If its overheats, then it could be down to overfilling the AC, but also check the adjuster puller for the belt.
Check if it spins freely :), if its anything like mine i just took off, you will need a new bearing, its been extremly hot at some point :hhmm:
Dont know why the gaskets are blanked, do you have the old to compare?
If this blocking a water channel then it could be bad news?
Aircon engaged when going up a hill?
Radiator been hosed out. no mud stuck in it?
Thermostat checked and cap?
Still overheat when blower/fan switch on the full...
My mates been through hell and back with brakes on an LJ70(disks front, drums rear), its been going on since he owned it.
The LSPV was the cause after replacing all pipes, brakes, calipers, disks, we had even replaced the LSPV with same results.
Dont worry about that stupid adjuster that...
My KZJ70 (UK) is fitted with A/C, I only need it a week maximum being in the UK ;), guess that was an optional extra, why didnt the orginal owners put lockers in instead..:crybaby:
You can put grease on the drill bit to try and catch some of the shards if you want to leave the manifold on, or remove the turbo from the manifold? :)
mmm you might not like it.
Big end Bearings?
YouTube - Big End Failure
YouTube - 205 gti 1.9 engine problem big end bearings?
Have a listen...sound the same?
If so do not run it anymore, whip the sump off and take the sump off and remove one of the bearing caps and have a look, you will...
Well thats as clear as mud;p, european only 4.56, well maybe :crybaby:

mmm do a search for Death Wobble, if its been lifted than you may need castor correction.
Also have you tried rotating your tyres? what speed are you talking about you get this shake, mph please? what tyres?
Also jack the wheels up one by one and then spin them, you will see them wobble if the...
It could be the steering box itself.
Lift bonnet, grab the shaft going to the steering box, jiggle it up Pay attention to the UJ joints! do they move?
This could be the problem not sure if they require greasing!
There is way top tighten the steering box up but I have never done it.
Another...
Believe the axel ratio is 4.56 well it is for KZJ70's in the uk.
4.8875 is in the LJ70's, well square light later versions are.
The tranmission (R150F for KZJ70) has a slightly different ratio 1st gear then the R151F(I believe!) fited in LJ70's.
You can have a look at the VIN plate under the...
Yeah sound like the turbo light, that must be triggered by the turbo pressure sensor at a guess, although I thought the sensor was something do with the pre-heat thing :D
If so its by the inlet manifold near the powersteering top up bottle, assuming its a KZJ70 or similiar.
The 1KZ-T has no...
