Has anyone ever heard that flushing the fluid in your high mileage (150000)A/T will cause it to fail? A friend of mine was prepping his FJ62 for sale to his brother. He heard you can/should flush the tranny to prolong the life of it like changing the oil in the motor. Well the tranny died 1200...

After reading others encounters with the dreaded oil pan gasket i have a question. which is primarily based on my 4th or 5th defeat in the same arear. Is it easier/better to pre glue the gasket to the pan or the block? Thanks in advance.
Can someone be so kind as to tell me how to adjust the cables for my stock e-brake setup(fj62). It all looks like it's in good enough condition to work properly if adjusted. Plus it'll save me from having to keep climbing underneath and turning the adjuster over and over. Thanks in advance, Roger
I have a completely rebuilt cylinder head casting #80032. I was informed it is like a '68-'72. I originally thought it was for a 2f and posted it in this ad w/pictures https://forum.ih8mud.com/sale-parts/344002-completely-rebuilt-2f-head.html . It even has new toyo valves, new everything. I'm...

I swapped my good drivetrain into my good truck(fj62/3fe). And I recently noticed that the engine was sitting at an angle from side to side in engine compartment.the front of the engine seems to be closer to the drivers side than the rear, not much about 5 degrees. I undid the motor mount nuts...
does anyone know off hand what spec drive shaft I need after installing a mana fre 4" lift w/shackle reversal? the front shaft fully extended is a couple of inches too short and my spare rear shaft a couple too long fully compressed. Also should I have a rear cut down a front lengthened or a...
Hey guys, I'm replacing my fj62's rear wheel bearings. Did the passenger side no worrie. When I got to the drivers sideI couldn't get the drum off, so I used those two small screw holes and started woking the drum off. I got it flush with the end of the hub(?), and the threads on the drum let...
