Builds Conde Cruiser Build---1970 FJ40 FST

Thanks for your response. I read thru your build report looking for info on the wheels. I know the place you picked up that 40 from outside of Lynchburg. I had spoke with the grandson a few years back trying to acquire that 40 right after the house fire. Their plan at the time was to leave it...

    rack bushing oem part#s

Thanks for the part number. More than one online toyota parts sites had this bushing listed as a pressure line grommet instead of listed it as a steering rack bushing. Order placed and waiting on delivery.

    Anyone running 245/75/16 tires?

Dayton tires use to offer the 255/85R/16 size on their Timberline A/T line of tires D-rated. Dayton are a sideline co. of Bridgestone. I ran a set on my work truck for 2 years. Great in snow! Too much sidewall flex for my liking; went back to a 265/75R/16 E, much better for the weight I...

East Coast Blizzard makes me wonder

Keep in mind that last weekend snow was a wet, large flake snow. Air temperature was above 50 degree's days prior to the storm. Snow accumulations on the road were slush/snow. All season tires and slush=reduced traction. Also keep in mind that concrete surfaces usually freeze over before...

Has anyone used the Timbren rubber Load Springs?

I have timbren on my work truck (95 Dodge Ram2500 4wd Diesel) for the past 7 years. They are a cheap and simple alternative to air bags or stiffer add-a-leaf springs. The timbren's do add some side to side stability. With no load on the truck bed; the timbren's have less the 1/2" clearance...

    Diff breather blow-by?

Reply #3; Amsoil 80/90 gear oil gl-5, again both inner & outer axle seals were replaced at birf servicing, diff breather was dripping when toyota was purchased last year, diff breather was cleaned during bird service, dripping resumed again after another 30 days. Truck has not been in deep...
