80 Series GIS Skid now available - HuddExpo

Apologies for the delay. Short a component to get things out last week. Should be completed and ready to ship in 7-10 days. We are also moving all skids to bare metal only. The anodizing has become too expensive. It gets banged up and scratched in shipping too. DIY and Fully Welded will...

    EGR cripple...not delete

I appreciate the interest and desire to learn, but I am not going to rehash the whole thing here in a new thread. The mechanics of how it works is in the multiple other threads related to the kit and/or disabling the EGR. If you want the exact details of how it interacts with the ECM, get out...

    EGR cripple...not delete

The 'Test kit' plug will disable the EGR. The BB's are there to prevent the risk of a vacuum leak, just in case something around there is awry. Like @baldilocks said, if the EGR was stuck open, the idle would be all wonky. Simply disabling the EGR gets rid of the majority of the heat near the...

    EGR delete. I know, I know…

It all depends on the jurisdiction you are in. I know of dozens of rigs that have passed with my kit installed at the time of testing. It really comes down to what your jurisdiction requires for readiness and how your rig tests. NOX being high is usually the result of disabling EGR. Our trucks...

Halogen to LED plug n play

Yep, thanks. My old brain sees them as the same after doing the swap and tab trimming so many times.

Halogen to LED plug n play

Throw 9011's in there. You have to trim the tab, but they work fine and are slightly brighter.

Halogen to LED plug n play

Please don't. Just buy good HIR bulbs from Philips that are meant for halogen housings.

Weathertech digifit front liners for 80 series are here

I have the WeatherTech. Happy with them for years, and I have no reason to do anything differently. Why buy from China when for not much more, like $50, you can buy made in America from Weather tech? I know their customer support has to be better than AliExpress too.

Yep, not unique. I personally believe it’s from the torque converter and nothing can be done and it’s not worth worrying about.

What did you get your 80 for Christmas?

It's going to get a Partner Steel Cook Partner stove thrown into the back with everything else that stays in the truck, just waiting for it to arrive.
