I have an 2009 tundra with standard factory headlights (not auto level) . I just wired it up with a plow and noticed that both low and high beams are coming on together when the high beams are activated. Is this standard? I could pull off the plow wiring to check but hoped someone here might know.
I am selling my 1992 FJ80 with a 4speed FJ60 transmission conversion. It has lived in Vermont for the past 3 years and its spotless underneath because it lived most of its previous life in California. I have always parked the truck for the winter months so its never seen a slushy Vermont road...
I have a whits end bushing press kit. Its got some surface rust (like everything in New England) and some minor damage to the tools where they did not line up during the pressing process. They should still be functional. The 53mm is shown below and has the worst damage. 75$ OBO. I hate to see...
I had a local shop do my front flexible break lines (old ones were cracked) on my 80. When the wheels are turned all the way to the left, the passenger side line is very taught . When the wheels are turned all the way to the right the line on the drivers slide has a fair bit of slack. My...
No Lube used (just the freezer method) - I guess i will probably just leave the one misoriented bushing since they all started out in the vertical orientation from the factory.
Did the bushing part itself actually change over time? If I am reading the TSB it looks like its there is no change...
I just pressed in the frame side front control arm bushing using the a vertical orientation which was the way it was originally oriented. I see that the toyota FSM now recommends the holes be oriented in a horizontal orientation (another post indicates this advice was updated by toyota at some...
I am trying to trouble shoot low mpg (8 mpg) and rich running conditions on my 3FE. I replaced the O2 sensors with denso units and found the rear harness had been modified quite a bit. Three thick wires have been spliced together into one wire on the rear O2. Then three more wires disappear...
Anyone know what clutch master cylinders will work with this setup?
I have an h42 in a 92 fj80 and the master cylinder is leaking. I brought the truck with the swap in place and don't know what master cylinder to buy for the replacement. It looks like it bolted with two through bolts (no...
Is the factory connector for the 95-97 fzj-80 series radios the same as the connector on the 1992 fj80 ?
Looking to replace my 1992 radio with a unit out of a 1996.
EDIT: The 96 radio works well in the 92 - plugged in with no issue (connectors are the same between years)
I am trying to replace an aftermarket radio with a factory radio in a 1992 fj80. I think I am missing part of the wiring harness (a pigtail?) that connects the radio to the amp (flat plug on radio side to two rectangular plugs that lead to the amp).
Is this part still available for Toyota...
Front and Rear mud flap part numbers above worked - I just did the install.
I ordered them online from Olathe Toyota in Ks 2/8/2019 and they arrived a few days later. The folks on the phone were really helpful.

My right turning issues were related to the bracket on the steering stabilizer. The bracket had been installed upside down (its stamped "up" in the steel plate).
