    SOR Brake Lines

Looking at the SOR brake line kit and was wondering what people’s thoughts were. Will have to figure which one would work best for me as I have a 67 FJ40 that I converted to disc brakes. https://www.sor.com/cat/086#tab1 I have bent and flared lines in the past, so that’s also a consideration.

    Pin Striping - FJ40

Really think my FJ40 could benefit from some pin striping and like what @Fast Eddy did on his FJ40. Was wondering if anyone has done this recently and who are you using to do the work? Any "best" types of striping to apply? What art work do I supply or is it a conversation with the...

    Hard brake lines

Been spending a lot of time under my 67 FJ40 doing suspension work and was wondering about how one tells if the steel brake lines need replacement. I have converted the truck to 4 wheel discs a while back and the rubber lines are all good, but the steel — just a visual inspection?

Front Axle Leak - Both Sides

Pulling out the FJ40 this morning and noticed a leak at both front tires today - oil is dripping off the grease zirks. Haven't done much investigating, but pondering why both sides would start to leak at the same time and almost at the same rate. Do these symptoms indicate new axle seals are...

Been looking at the exploded diagram on SOR and just can’t visualize the proper installation for the window wipes. Does the metal strip go on top or underneath the rubber?! Hope the pictures show you what I am talking about.

    Carburetor Linkage - binding

Hi all, can’t seem to keep my carb linkage from binding. Tried making a few adjustments to the positioning of bracket but still no luck. This is a City Racer carb, attached to an 85F2, sitting in a 67’ FJ40. Any thoughts? Is there an alternative bracket setup for these?

2F Carburetor Insulator Plate & City Racer Carb

HI all - I am changing out an older carb replacing it with a City Racer non-smog carburetor. I also purchased a new insulator plate from VintageTeqParts. After reading a few threads, I want to confirm that no additional gaskets are needed between the manifold and carburetor as the insulator...

    Cockpit Lighting

Was driving the 67’ FJ40 last night and was fumbling around to find the heat pull knob and thought it would be great to have a bit of light to see dashboard. Would like adjustable lights and nothing that was going to make the dashboard look funky. Did find a kit, picture attached, has the...

    Roll Bar Pads

The roll bar in my FJ40 is interfering with visibility at intersections. The issue is the bar that comes down past the wing window. The circumference is about 10.5” wrapped or a diameter of approximately 3.5”. I guess my first question is does this bar need to wrapped? Not sure if that’s a...
